FOURTH DAY – KALPAVRIKSHA VAHANAM

Tirumala, 29 September 2014: On the fourth day of Srivari Brahmotsavam, Lord Venkateswara being the boon giver takes ride on Kalpa Vruksha to bless his devotees with their sought after and wishful desires for which they vow to serve and worship him whole-heartedly.

On the celestial tree Kalpa Vruksha vahanam, Lord Malayappa went on a pleasure ride around the four-mada streets surrounding the Sri vari temple giving darshan to thousands of people who converged in gallaries to witness the grand procession in the ongoing Srivari Brahmotsavams. Legend says that Kalpa Vruksha was one of the elements that erupted when the Adisesha placed his vice grip on the Mandara Mountain where the Devatas- Demons tried to steal the Amrutam (celestial liquid).
