Vontimitta, 19 April 2016: TTD EO Dr D Samba Siva Rao said that the stage has been set to host the first ever mega religious event after the formation of separate state of Andhra Pradesh, the celestial wedding ceremony of Sri Sita Rama Kalyanam at Vontimitta in YSR Kadapa district on Wednesday.

Speaking to media persons here after inspecting the arrangements of Kalyana Vedika, the EO said, elaborate arrangements have been made by TTD in co-ordination with district government for the mega religious wedding ceremony in the sprawling 70acres of land at Vontimitta. “We have made hi-fi security arrangements as many protocol VIPs including Honourable Governor Sri ESL Narasimhan, Honourable AP CM Sri N Chandrababu Naidu, ministers and other dignitaries are going to take part in this event. Apart from the police and TTD vigilance, we have also deployed scouts, guides and srivari seva volunteers for crowd management.

Adding further he said, the stage has been erected and large number of galleries have also been set up providing seating capacity to over 75thousand devotees. “Apart from this, TTD has also arranged separate entry-exit points to VVIPs, VIPs, General devotees on this auspicious occasion. we have also arranged 100 Prasadam distribution counters to offer prasadams to the devotees. Over seven lakh water packets, ORS sachets, Paramedical medical teams have also been kept ready. Meanwhile we have prepared two lakh packets of “Mutyala Talambralu” which will be distributed to all the devotees. The floral and electrical decorations will remain highlight of the festival. TTD is also live telecasting the programme on SVBC for the benefit of global pilgrims”, he added.

Later Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar said, there will be Shobha Yatra of the Mutyala Talambralu in the evening at around 5pm. The cultural activities including devotional music concert by eminent persons have also been arranged. This will be followed by wedding ceremony between 8pm and 10pm”, he added.

Additional CVSO Sri Sivakumar Reddy, CE Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy, SE III Sri Sudhkar Rao, Health Officer Dr Sermista, PRO Dr T Ravi and other officers were also present.
