CHAKRA SNANAM PERFORMED ON ANANRAPADMANABHA VRATAM _ అనంతపద్మనాభ వ్రతం సందర్భంగా చక్రస్నానం
Tirumala, 1 Sep. 20: On the auspicious occasion of Ananta Padmanabha Vratam on Tuesday, Chakrasnanam was performed at Ranganayakula Mandapam.
Usually, the anthropomorphic form of Lord, Sri Sudarsha Chakrattalwar is taken on a celestial procession to Swamy Pushkarini, where special abhishekam and pujas are performed, immersed in the holy waters of the temple tank and brought back to the temple on this day.
But in view of Covid restrictions, the Chakrasnanam was performed in a Gangalam-a huge vessel, placed at Ranganayakula Mandapam in Srivari temple premises. The Archakas performed special pujas to Sri Sudarshana Chakrattalwar amidst chanting of Vedic mantras, before immersed in sacred waters in Gangalam.
Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy was also present.
