GAJA VAHANA TEACHES NOT TO FEEL PROUD OF ONES MIGHT
Tirumala, 8 October 2016: Mounted on the mammoth golden Gaja Vahanam, the Lord takes a majestic ride on the vehicle and blessed His devotees who thronged to witness a glimpse of Him in the four mada streets on Saturday evening.
Elephants are a symbol of force, strength, kingly splendour. Even today taking on elephant is considered to be a rich honour.
With this famous epic story of GAJENDRA MOKSHAM taken from Bhagavatha where in the Lord Himself comes for the help of the elephant King from crocodile and gives salvation, the Lord preaches his devotees, that one should not feel pride of their might and pure devotion and total surrender are the only means to reach salvation.
