Tirumala, 29 March 2016: As the summer vacation is fast approaching and on the other hand as the temperatures are recording new heights day by day, as a heat resistance measure, TTD is all set to provide ORS packets to the devotees.
In the review meeting held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala by TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, the número uno officer of TTD instructed the HoDs to give their best of services in the exit three months, as voluminous influx of pilgrims is being expected.
He directed the medical and health wing to keep ready ORS packets, the Oral Rehydration Salt packets as a measure to fight the heat which will be supplied to pilgrims waiting in queue lines.
The EO directed the Annaprasadam wing officials to see that the MTVAC should operate from 9am to 11pm continuously with just one hour break for cleaning in the evening.
He instructed the health wing to keep the ghat roads clean clearing the plastic bottles and other waste thrown by the pilgrims from buses while travelling on ghat roads.
Later Tirumala Jeo Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju complimented the Annaprasadam officials for their efforts, as the Annaprasadam Trust has received Rs.100cr in the form of donations in the financial year 2015-16 making a new record.
All senior officers were also present.
