KOIL ALWAR TIRUMANJANAM AT KEELAPATLA SRI KONETIRAYA SWAMY TEMPLE ON APRIL 29 _ ఏప్రిల్ 29న కీలపట్ల శ్రీ కోనేటిరాయస్వామి ఆలయంలో కోయిల్ ఆళ్వార్ తిరుమంజనం
TIRUMALA, 27 APRIL 2025: The centuries-old Sri Konetiraya Swamy Temple located at Keelapatla village in Gangavaram Mandal of Chittoor District, will observe the Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam ceremony on April 29.
This traditional temple purification ritual is being conducted ahead of the annual Brahmotsavams scheduled to be held from May 5 to May 13.
On this occasion, the day will begin with the Suprabhatam and from 8AM to 10 AM, the Koil Alwar Tirumanjanam will be performed.
The entire temple premises including walls, ceilings, puja materials, and surroundings will be thoroughly cleansed.
Sacred water mixed with fragrant substances like Nama Kopu, Sri Churnam, Kasturi Pasupu, Paccha Karpooram, Sandalwood powder, Kumkum, and Kichchiligadda will be sprinkled throughout the temple premises as part of the purification.
From 11AM onwards, devotees will be allowed for darshan of the presiding deity, Sri Konetiraya Swamy.
About the Temple:
Sri Konetiraya Swamy Temple is an ancient and historically significant shrine, believed to have been consecrated by the Sage Bhrigu.
Later, King Janamejaya, the grandson of Arjuna (the great Pandava prince), had constructed the temple.
In the later years, under the patronage of Chola, Pallava, and Vijayanagara rulers, the temple flourished with elaborate rituals.
During the period of religious invasions, fearing desecration, the villagers concealed the deity in Koneru-the temple tank.
Later, Sri Bodi Kondama Nayudu, a feudatory of Chandragiri rulers, had a divine vision in his sleep and he identified the deity in Koneru and reinstalled the deity, thus giving rise to the name Sri Konetiraya Swamy.(The deity emerged from temple tank)
The temple is also mentioned in the famous Annamacharya Sankeerthan ”Kondalalo Nelakonna Koneti Rayudu Vadu”.
Sri Konetiraya Swamy is a renowned teme and known for swiftly granting the wishes of devotees.
Today, under the management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams, the annual Brahmotsavams are being celebrated with a great spiritual fervor according to the Vaikhanasa Agama traditions.
Devotees from various parts throng this temple on normal days and especially during festive occasions.

తిరుపతి, 2025 ఏప్రిల్ 27: చిత్తూరు జిల్లా కీలపట్ల శ్రీ కోనేటిరాయస్వామి ఆలయంలో ఏప్రిల్ 29న కోయిల్ ఆళ్వార్ తిరుమంజనం ఘనంగా నిర్వహించనున్నారు. ఆలయంలో మే 5 నుండి 13వ తేదీ వరకు జరగనున్న వార్షిక బ్రహ్మోత్సవాలకు ముందు కోయిల్ ఆళ్వార్ తిరుమంజనం నిర్వహించడం ఆనవాయితీ.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ఉదయం సుప్రభాతంతో స్వామివారిని మేల్కొలిపి ఉదయం 8 నుండి 10 గంటల వరకు కోయిల్ ఆళ్వార్ తిరుమంజనం నిర్వహించనున్నారు. ఇందులో ఆలయ ప్రాంగణం, గోడలు, పైకప్పు, పూజాసామగ్రి తదితర అన్ని వస్తువులను నీటితో శుద్ధి చేయనున్నారు. నామకోపు, శ్రీచూర్ణం, కస్తూరి పసుపు, పచ్చాకు, గడ్డ కర్పూరం, గంధం పొడి, కుంకుమ, కిచీలీగడ్డ తదితర సుగంధ ద్రవ్యాలు కలగలిపిన పవిత్రజలాన్ని ఆలయం అంతటా ప్రోక్షణం చేస్తారు. ఉదయం 11 గంటల నుండి భక్తులను స్వామివారి దర్శనానికి అనుమతిస్తారు.
ఆలయ చరిత్ర :
చిత్తూరు జిల్లా గంగవరం (మం) కీలపట్ల గ్రామంలో వెలసిన శ్రీ కోనేటిరాయ స్వామి దేవాలయం అతి పురాతనమైన చారిత్రక ప్రసిద్ధి కలిగిన దేవాలయం. ఈ స్వామి వారిని భృగు మహర్షి ప్రతిష్ట చేసి ఆరాధించగా, పాండవ మధ్యముడు అర్జునుడి ముని మనవడు జనమేజయ మహారాజు గుడి కట్టించారు. తర్వాత కాలంలో చోళ, పల్లవ, విజయనగర సామ్రాజ్యాధీశుల ఏలుబడిలో విశేష పూజలు అందుకుని తర్వాత మహమ్మదీయుల దండయాత్రలకు భయపడి గ్రామస్తులు స్వామి వారిని కోనేటిలో దాచి ఉంచారు. ఆ తర్వాత కాలంలో చంద్రగిరి సంస్థానాధీశుల సామంతులు శ్రీ బోడికొండమ నాయుడు గారికి కలలో సాక్షాత్కరించి కోనేటిలో ఉన్న స్వామివారిని తిరిగి ప్రతిష్టించమని కోరినారు. ఆ విధంగా కోనేటి నుండి ప్రతిష్ట చేయబడి శ్రీ కోనేటి రాయ స్వామిగా ప్రసిద్ధి చెందినారు.
అన్నమయ్య కీర్తనలలో శ్రీ కోనేటిరాయ స్వామి ఆలయం ఈ గ్రామంలో మాత్రమే ఉన్నది. కోరినదే తడవుగా కొండంత వరములను ప్రసాదించే శ్రీ కోనేటిరాయ స్వామి వారికి తిరుమల తిరుపతి దేవస్థానం వారి ఆధ్వర్యంలో అత్యంత వైభవంగా శ్రీ వైఖానస ఆగమోక్త ప్రకారముగా శ్రీవారి వార్షిక బ్రహ్మోత్సవాలు నిర్వహిస్తున్నారు.
