Tirupati, 11 January 2026: The annual Salakatla Ratha Saptami festival will be celebrated with grandeur at the Sri Govindarajaswamy Temple, Tirupati, on January 25.

On this auspicious occasion, Sri Govindarajaswamy along with His consorts, will bless devotees by parading on seven different vahanams (divine vehicles).

As part of the festivities, Sri Chakrattalwar will be taken in a procession from 3 a.m. to 5a.m. to the Alwar Theertham at Sri Kapileswaraswamy Temple, where the Chakrasnanam (holy bath) will be performed.

Later, the vahana sevas of Sri Govindaraja swamy will commence with the Surya Prabha Vahanam from 5.30 a.m. to 7.30 a.m. followed by the Hamsa Vahanam between 8 a.m. and 9a.m., the Hanumantha Vahanam between 9.30 a.m. and 10.30 a.m. 

The Pedda Sesha Vahanam will take place from 11.30 a.m. to 1.00 p.m., followed by the Muthyapu Pandiri Vahanam from 1.30 p.m. to 3.00 p.m. From 3.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m., Sri Govindaraja Swamy along with Sridevi and Bhudevi will bless devotees on the Sarvabhoopala Vahanam.

In the night, between 8p.m. and 9.30 p.m., the deity will give darshan mounted on the Garuda Vahanam.

The devotees also refer to Ratha Saptami as Ardha Brahmotsavam or One-day Brahmotsavam. 

On the occasion, cultural programmes will be organised under the auspices of the TTD Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad and the Sri Annamacharya Project.

జనవరి 25న శ్రీ గోవిందరాజస్వామి వారి ఆలయంలో సాలకట్ల రథసప్తమి

తిరుపతి, 2026, జనవరి 11: తిరుపతి శ్రీ గోవిందరాజస్వామి వారి ఆలయంలో జనవరి 25న రథసప్తమి పర్వదినం వైభవంగా జరుగనుంది. ఈ సందర్భంగా స్వామివారు దేవేరులతో కలిసి ఏడు వాహనాలపై ఊరేగి భక్తులను కటాక్షించనున్నారు. 

తెల్లవారు జామున 3 గం.ల నుండి 5 గంటల వరకు శ్రీచక్రత్తాళ్వార్‌ను ఊరేగింపుగా శ్రీ కపిలేశ్వరస్వామి వారి ఆలయంలోని ఆళ్వారు తీర్థానికి వేంచేపు చేసి చక్రస్నానం నిర్వహిస్తారు.

అనంతరం ఉదయం 5.30 నుండి 7.30 గంటల వరకు సూర్యప్రభ వాహనంతో శ్రీగోవిందరాజస్వామి వారి వాహన సేవలు ప్రారంభమవుతాయి. ఉదయం 8 నుండి 9 గంటల వరకు హంస వాహనం, ఉదయం 9.30 నుండి 10.30 గంటల వరకు హనుమంత వాహనంపై స్వామివారు ఊరేగనున్నారు. ఉదయం 11.30 నుండి మధ్యాహ్నం 1 గంట వరకు పెద్దశేష వాహనం, మధ్యాహ్నం 1.30 నుండి 3 గంటల వరకు ముత్యపు పందిరి వాహనం, మధ్యాహ్నం 3.30 నుండి 5.00 గంటల వరకు సర్వభూపాల వాహనంపై శ్రీదేవి, భూదేవి సమేత శ్రీ గోవిందరాజస్వామివారు ఊరేగుతూ భక్తులను అనుగ్రహించనున్నారు. రాత్రి 8 నుండి రాత్రి 9.30 గంటల వరకు గరుడ వాహనాన్ని అధిష్టించి శ్రీవారు దర్శనమిస్తారు. 

రథసప్తమి వేడుకలను అర్ధ బ్రహ్మోత్సవమని, ఒక రోజు బ్రహ్మోత్సవమని కూడా భక్తులు అంటారు. టిటిడి హిందూ ధర్మప్రచార పరిషత్, శ్రీ అన్నమాచార్య ప్రాజెక్టు ఆధ్వర్యంలో సాంస్కృతిక కార్యక్రమాలు జరుగనున్నాయి.
