Tirupati, 16 Dec. 20: There is enough information available in various Puranas which proves that the birthplace of Lord Hanuman is Anjanadri, one of the seven hills located on Seshachala Ranges, said scholars and pundits of TTD.

Explaining the same to TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy during a meeting held at his chamber in TTD administrative building on Wednesday evening, the Scholars and pundits appraised him about the information available in the puranic scriptures which proves the birth of Lord Hanuman in Tirumala.

After listening to all the pundits, EO said there are many places across the country which are claiming as birth place of Lord Hanuman. He asked the pundits to do extensive research and come out with concrete proof to ascertain that the birth place of Lord Hanuman is Anjanadri.

The pundits said that there are references about the birth of Lord Hanuman in Skanda purana, Varaha purana, Bhavishyottara Purana Brahmanda Purana, Venkatachala Mahatyam and also presented relevant slokas from the respective Puranas.

The EO directed Additional EO AV Dharma Reddy to pay focus on the issue and find a quick solution so that the historical importance of Anjanadri Hills in Tirumala will reach the devotees.

Sri Venkateswara Vedic University Vice Chancellor Sri Sudarshana Sharma, National Sanskrit University Vice Chancellor Sri Muralidhara Sharma, scholars Sri Shankar Narayana, Sri Ramakrishna, Sri Vibhishana Sharma were also present.

ఈ సంద‌ర్భంగా ఈవో మాట్లాడుతూ కొన్ని దేవాల‌యాల స్థ‌ల పురాణాల‌ ఆధారంగా వేరువేరు ప్రాంతాల‌ను హ‌నుమంతుని జ‌న్మ ‌స్థ‌లంగా ప్ర‌చారం చేస్తున్నార‌ని చెప్పారు. ఈ నేప‌థ్యంలో పౌరాణిక‌, చారిత్ర‌క‌, ఆచార‌ వ్య‌వ‌హార‌ దృష్ఠితో ఆంజ‌నేయ‌స్వామివారు తిరుమ‌ల‌లో జ‌న్మించార‌ని ప‌రిశోధించి నిరూపించ‌డానికి పండితుల‌తో ఒక క‌మిటి ఏర్పాటు చేశారు.

పురాణాల‌ ఆధారంగా తిరుమ‌ల ఆంజ‌నేయ‌స్వామివారి జ‌న్మ స్థ‌ల‌మ‌ని స‌మావేశంలో పాల్గొన్న పండితులు ఈవో దృష్ఠికి తీసుకువ‌చ్చారు. ఆధునిక కాలంలో శ్రీ‌వారి భ‌క్తులంద‌రికి ఆంజ‌నాద్రిపై మ‌రింత భ‌క్తి విశ్వాసాలు ఏర్ప‌డాల‌ని ఈవో సూచించారు. ఆంజ‌నేయ‌స్వామివారి జ‌న్మ‌స్థ‌లం తిరుమ‌ల అని నిరూపించ‌డానికి త‌గిన స‌మాచారం సిద్ధం చేయ‌వల‌‌సిందిగా ఆయ‌న పం‌డితుల‌ను కోరారు.

స్కంధ పురాణం, వ‌రాహ పురాణం, ప‌ద్మ పురాణం, బ్ర‌హ్మాండ పురాణం, భ‌విష్యోత్త‌ర పురాణం, వెంక‌టాచ‌ల మ‌హా‌త్యం మొద‌లైన పురాణాల్లో ఉన్న శ్లోకాల‌ను పండితులు స‌మావేశంలో ప్రస్తా‌వించారు. త్వ‌రిత గ‌తిన ఈ అంశాన్ని ఆధారాల‌తో స‌హా ప‌రిష్క‌రించే ప్ర‌య‌త్నం చేయాల‌ని ఈవో అద‌న‌పు ఈవోకు సూచించారు.
