TRANSPARENCY IN PURCHASE OF ELECTRIC BATTERY CARS- TTD _ పూర్తి పారదర్శకంగా బ్యాటరీ కార్ల కొనుగోలు
Tirupati, 2 Sep. 21: TTD clarified on Thursday that the allegations made by CITU leader Sri K Murali on the purchase of battery cars was baseless and false.
In a statement released on Thursday evening, TTD said that with an objective of protecting the environment of Tirumala from pollution and to encourage pollution-free vehicles, TTD has purchased 35 electric cars for official use (Tata Nexon) from Public sector company CESL.
– The CESL is not a private concern but directly under the Union power ministry and a joint venture of NTPC, R.EC, Power Grid and PFL.
– TTD has signed an MoU for payment of EMI of Rs.32, 000 for five years inclusive of annual Maintenance Cost (AMC), it may be noted.
– CESL functions as per a national policy on the sale of electric cars and so far 4000 vehicles have been sold by the company.
TTD appeals that in the face of such hard facts, persons holding responsible positions in society should at least approach concerned officials and ascertain facts and refrain from making such cheap and baseless criticism.
