137th FETE OF TTD LEGEND SRI VETURI ON FEB 7 _ ఫిబ్రవరి 7న శ్రీ వేటూరి ప్రభాకరశాస్త్రి 137వ జయంతి ఉత్సవం
Tirupati, February 06, 2025: The 137th birth anniversary of Sri Veturi Prabhakara Sastri will be celebrated grandly in Tirupati on February 7th under the auspices of the TTD Sri Veturi Prabhakara Sastri Vanmaya Peetham.
On this occasion, TTD senior officials will offer floral tributes to the bronze statue of Sri Veturi Prabhakara Sastri located opposite the SVETA Bhavan in Tirupati at 10 am.
Thereafter commemorative lecture will be held at Sri SV Ven Oriental College premises in Tirupati wherein eminent scholars will deliver lectures on Veturi contributions.
Sri Veturi Prabhakara Sastri is known as a poet, historical researcher, legal researcher, publisher of the ancient scripture Sanskrit metaphor translator, folk literature promoter,
He is also popularly as a researcher who identified the first Telugu word ‘Nagabu’, the author of the commentary on the Talapatra scripture, Annamayya Sankirtana literature promoter, and the first initiator of the Annamacharya Utsava. He penned many ancient epics published by the TTD.

తిరుపతి, 2025 ఫిబ్రవరి 06: టీటీడీ శ్రీ వేటూరి ప్రభాకరశాస్త్రి వాఙ్మయ పీఠం ఆధ్వర్యంలో ఫిబ్రవరి 7వ తేదీన శ్రీ వేటూరి ప్రభాకరశాస్త్రి 137వ జయంతి ఉత్సవాలను తిరుపతిలో ఘనంగా నిర్వహించనున్నారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ఉదయం 10 గంటలకు తిరుపతిలోని శ్వేత భవనం ఎదురుగా గల శ్రీ వేటూరి ప్రభాకరశాస్త్రి కాంస్య విగ్రహానికి టిటిడి ఉన్నతాధికారులు పుష్పాంజలి సమర్పిస్తారు.
అనంత‌రం తిరుపతిలోని శ్రీ వేంక‌టేశ్వ‌ర ప్రాచ్చ క‌ళాశాల‌లో ఉదయం 10.30 గంటల నుంచి స్మారకోపన్యాస సభ నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఇందులో వేటూరివారి సాహిత్యంపై ప్రముఖ పండితులు ఉపన్యసిస్తారు.
శ్రీ వేటూరి ప్రభాకరశాస్త్రి కవిగా, చరిత్ర పరిశోధకుడిగా, శాసన పరిశోధకుడిగా, ప్రాచీనాంధ్ర సంకలన ప్రచురణకర్తగా, సంస్కృత రూపకానువాదకర్తగా, జానపద సాహిత్య ప్రోత్సాహకుడిగా, తొలి తెలుగు పదమైన ‘నాగబు’ను గుర్తించిన పరిశోధకుడిగా, తాళపత్ర గ్రంథ వివరణ రచయితగా, అన్నమయ్య సంకీర్తన సాహిత్యోద్ధారకుడిగా, అన్నమాచార్య ఉత్సవాల ప్రథమ ప్రారంభకుడిగా ప్రసిద్ధి చెందారు. ఎన్నో పురాతన గ్రంథాలను పరిష్కరించి తితిదేకి అందజేశారు.
