Dr.Rameshwar Thakur releases Sanskrit books at S V Vedic University campus
Tirupati, January 5 2011: Madhya Pradesh governor Dr Rameswar Thakur and the guiding principle behind the establishment of the Sri Venkateswara Vedic University said today that Vedic literature had solutions for all the spiritual and health ailments of the present-day society.
Participating in a function got up at Rameswar Bhavan in the S V Vedic
university campus Dr Thakur said Vedic studies were depositories of
century-old ancient knowledge for human welfare.
Earlier he released four Sanskrit books authored by the S V University
scholars and published by the university. The books were EKAGNI KANDA,PRADYAPDIKASRADHA PRAYOGA, ASOUCHA NIRTHAYA, and SEVATHI.
Speaking on the occasion Sri I Y R Krishna Rao, executive officer of
TTD said S V Vedic University had emerged only due to a keen interest
and commitment of Dr Rameswar Thakur towards the propagation of Vedas and ancient knowledge.
Sri Rao said the dream of Dr Thakur to set up centres of excellence in
Sanskrit education at Tirupati had materialized in the form of S V
Vedic University which was poised to take up path-breaking activities
for the promotion of Vedic studies.
Prof Sudarshan Sharma, Vice-chancellor of Sri Venkateswara Vedic
University welcomed the dignitaries and explained the highlights of
the publications.
Dr Hare Krishna Shatapatty of the Rashtriya Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, Tirupati, Vedic scholars and faculty members of Vedic institutions
of the temple town participated.
