TTD CELEBRATED 199th BIRTH ANNIVERSARY IN A GRAND MANNER
Tirupati, April 11, 2026: TTD Additional Executive Officer Sri C.H. Venkayya Chowdary stated that Mahatma Jyotiba Phule was a great social reformer who guided human society towards progressive reforms. On Saturday, the 199th birth anniversary celebrations of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule were held grandly under the aegis of TTD at Mahathi Kalakshetram in Tirupati.
Speaking on the occasion, he said that Jyotiba Phule realized the need for social reforms for the progress of society and worked towards the upliftment of the oppressed sections by promoting values such as education, knowledge, self-confidence, and self-discipline. He explained that Phule considered education as the primary means to eradicate social inequalities and began his educational movement with his own wife. He added that Phule spread awareness that if education develops in every family, conflicts in society would reduce. He praised him as a great personality who paved the way for social freedom through works like “Gulamgiri.” He also recalled his significant contribution towards promoting education among women.
The chief guest, Additional District Judge Smt. G. Archana, stated that Jyotiba Phule was a visionary who lit the lamp of education. She emphasized that in today’s context, it is essential to impart proper values from childhood to foster respect towards women.
AP Secretariat Gazetted Officers Association President Sri K.V. Krishnayya said that education is the key to eliminating discrimination in rural areas and called upon everyone to prioritize educational development in every family.
Earlier, special पूजा (worship) was performed to the portrait of Lord Venkateswara at Mahathi Kalakshetram, followed by floral tributes to the portrait of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule. TTD employees presented a theatrical performance depicting the life history of Jyotiba Phule. On this occasion, 60 employees were honored with Mahatma Jyotiba Phule Awards. Cultural programs entertained the audience, and prizes were distributed to winners of quiz and essay writing competitions.
TTD Deputy EO (Welfare) Sri A. Anandaraju, Dr. N. Bheemanna, Medical Officer Smt. Kusuma Kumari, along with other officials, staff, and students, participated in the program.

తిరుపతి, 2026 ఏప్రిల్ 11: మానవ సమాజాన్ని సంస్కరణల వైపు నడిపించిన గొప్ప సంఘసంస్కర్త మహాత్మా జ్యోతిబా పూలే అని టిటిడి అడిషనల్ ఈవో శ్రీ సిహెచ్ వెంకయ్య చౌదరి తెలిపారు. తిరుపతి మహతి కళాక్షేత్రంలో శనివారం టిటిడి ఆధ్వర్యంలో మహాత్మా జ్యోతిబా పూలే 199వ జయంతి వేడుకలు ఘనంగా నిర్వహించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా ఆయన మాట్లాడుతూ, సమాజ పురోగతికి సామాజిక సంస్కరణలు అవసరమని గ్రహించిన జ్యోతిబా పూలే అణగారిన వర్గాల అభ్యున్నతికి విద్య, జ్ఞానం, ఆత్మవిశ్వాసం, స్వయం నియంత్రణ వంటి విలువలను పెంపొందించే దిశగా కృషి చేశారని తెలిపారు. సమాజంలో అసమానతలను తొలగించడానికి విద్యనే ప్రధాన మార్గంగా భావించి, తన సతీమణి నుంచే విద్యా ప్రబోధాన్ని ప్రారంభించారని వివరించారు. ప్రతి కుటుంబంలో విద్యాభివృద్ధి ఉంటే వైరుధ్యాలు తగ్గుతాయని ఆయన చైతన్యం కల్పించారన్నారు. “గులాం గిరి” వంటి రచనల ద్వారా సామాజిక స్వేచ్ఛకు బాటలు వేసిన మహనీయుడని కొనియాడారు. మహిళల్లో విద్యా చైతన్యం పెంపొందించడంలో ఆయన కృషి విశేషమని గుర్తు చేశారు.
ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి ముఖ్య వక్తగా హాజరైన అదనపు జిల్లా జడ్జి శ్రీమతి జి. అర్చన మాట్లాడుతూ, విద్యా జ్యోతి వెలిగించిన మహనీయుడు జ్యోతిబా పూలే అని పేర్కొన్నారు. నేటి పరిస్థితుల్లో మహిళల పట్ల గౌరవ భావం పెంపొందించడానికి బాల్యం నుంచే సరైన విలువలను బోధించాల్సిన అవసరం ఉందని సూచించారు.
ఏపీ సచివాలయ గెజిటెడ్ ఆఫీసర్స్ అధ్యక్షులు శ్రీ కె.వి. కృష్ణయ్య మాట్లాడుతూ, గ్రామీణ ప్రాంతాల్లో వివక్షను తొలగించడానికి విద్యే ప్రధాన మార్గమని, ప్రతి కుటుంబంలో విద్యాభివృద్ధికి ప్రాధాన్యం ఇవ్వాలని పిలుపునిచ్చారు.
అంతకు ముందు మహతి కళాక్షేత్రంలో శ్రీవారి చిత్రపటానికి పూజలు నిర్వహించి, అనంతరం మహాత్మా జ్యోతిబా పూలే చిత్రపటానికి పుష్పాంజలి ఘటించారు. టిటిడి ఉద్యోగులు జ్యోతిబా పూలే జీవిత చరిత్రను నాటక రూపంలో ప్రదర్శించారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా 60 మంది ఉద్యోగులను మహాత్మా జ్యోతిబా పూలే అవార్డులతో సత్కరించారు.
సాంస్కృతిక కార్యక్రమాలు అలరించగా, క్విజ్, వ్యాసరచన పోటీల్లో విజేతలకు బహుమతులు ప్రదానం చేశారు.
