Tirupati, 29 May 2025: Dharmic programs like Annamaiah Sankeertans on a special YouTube channel, Sanatana Dharma to grassroot level and many more shall be considered, said TTD EO J Syamala Rao.
The TTD EO held a review on Thursday with the project officers of HDPP, Srinivasa Kalyanam Project, Annamacharya Project, Sri Venkateswara Recording Project, Publication, Purana Itihasa Project, Dasa Sahitya Project, Epic Studies, etc. at the conference Hall of Tirupati Sri Padmavati Rest House.
Speaking on the occasion, the EO said that steps should be taken to widely promote Sananatana Dharma and provide the essence of Bhagavad Gita to children and youth in a meaningful and simple way. He said that presenting important episodes of the Bhagavad Gita in a simple and easy-to-understand way in the form of cartoons and videos would yield good results.
He said that programs should be designed to inform the youth about the uniqueness of Hinduism, religious, spiritual, humanitarian and moral values. The EO suggested that religious programs should be designed to prevent religious conversions.
Plans should be made from now on to train the youth on issues such as devotion, moral values, discipline, joint family system among students.
He instructed the relevant officials to submit a comprehensive report on how many Bhajan Mandirs have been completed so far and how many are in the final stage.
He suggested that the programs implemented so far by the Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad be reviewed and action should be taken to implement the programs in a more qualitative, accessible and planned manner.
He asked that talks be held with the relevant representatives from now on to bring the organizers of religious programs onto a single platform.
To further increase the greenery, presenting a plant to the devotees through ‘Srivari Vana Nidhi’ shall be considered, he added.
TTD EO reviewed the performance of Sri Venkateswara Recording Project. He said that special steps should be taken to ensure that all the Sankeertans of Tallapaka Annamacharya are made available in one place on a special YouTube channel on the TTD website. He suggested that the already very popular ones among Annamaiah Sankeertans should be acquired first and all the Sankeertans should be included in it in a phased manner. An action plan should be prepared so that new Sankeertans become very popular. Out of 32 thousand Sankeertans of Annamacharya, 14,932 Sankeertans are available.
He ordered the concerned to submit a comprehensive report on how many Sankeertans have been recorded so far, how many more are to be recorded, how many Sankeertans have been uploaded on the special web page.
Later, a review was conducted on the performance of the TTD Publication Department.
He asked the officers concerned to take steps to ensure that all the books printed by TTD are available in TTD book stalls. He directed to write and print articles that are meaningful and easy for children and youth and also ordered to submit a report on how many books TTD has printed so far and how many uploaded on TTD website.
