MAHA SAMPROKSHANA PERFORMED TO GODDESS GANGA DEVI TEMPLE IN TIRUMALA _ తిరుమల పాపవినాశనంలో ఘనంగా గంగాదేవి ఆలయ సంప్రోక్షణ
TIRUMALA, JAN 18: Maha Samprokshana has been performed with religious fervour for the newly constructed Goddess Ganga Devi temple in Papavinasanam at Tirumala on Friday.
Speaking on this ceremonious occasion, TTD EO Sri LV Subramanyam said, among the 12 sacred teerthas located in Tirumala Seshachala ranges, Papavinasanam is considered to be the most sacred one. “Teertham means the holy river Ganges. Where the river Goddess is worshipped, there will be no scarcity for food and water. With the blessings of Lord Venkateswara, we have over come the drastic scarcity of water due to good amount of rains last year. Today we have all the dams in Tirumala with full of water to meet the requirements of the visiting pilgrims as well locals. So it becomes our utmost duty to offer prayers to Goddess Ganga and hence we constructed a small temple to the Goddess. The pilgrims who visit Papavinasanam can also have blessings of Goddess Ganga henceforth”, he added.
Meanwhile from the past three days a team of archakas led by Sri Mani Gurukul and Sri Ganesh Gurukul performed Vighneshwara Puja, Maha Ganapathi homam on January 16, Nitya homam and Astabandha Samarpana on January 17 and Kalasa Udwasana and Maha Kumbhabhishekam on Friday-January 18.
Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, Dy EO Kalyana Katta Sri Balaji, AVSO Sri Appa Roy and others were also present. Pilgrims offered prayers to Goddess Ganga Devi in larger numbers.

తిరుమల, 18 జనవరి – 2013: తిరుమల దివ్యక్షేత్రంలో వెలసివున్న అనేకానేక పుణ్యతీర్థాలలో అగ్రస్థానంలో ఉన్న పాపవినాశనంలో శ్రీ గంగాదేవి అమ్మవారి ఆలయానికి శుక్రవారంనాడు ఘనంగా మహాసంప్రోక్షణ కార్యక్రమం జరిగింది.
గత మూడురోజులగా జరుగుతున్న ప్రత్యేక పూజా కార్యక్రంలో భాగంగా జనవరి 16వ తారీఖున విఘ్నేశ్వర పూజ, మహాగణపతి హోమం, జనవరి 17వ తారీఖున నిత్యహోమం, అష్టబంధన సమర్పణ, జనవరి 18వ తారీఖు శుక్రవారంనాడు కలశ ఉద్వాశన మరియు మహాకుంభాభిషేకాలను ఘనంగా నిర్వహించారు.
ఈ సందర్భంగా తి.తి.దే కార్యనిర్వహణాధికారి శ్రీ ఎల్‌.వి.సుబ్రహ్మణ్యం మాట్లాడుతూ తిరుమలలోని 12 దివ్యతీర్థాలలో పాపవినాశనం తీర్థం అత్యంత ప్రాశస్యమైనదన్నారు. తీర్థం అంటే సాక్షాత్తు గంగాదేవి స్వరూపమని ఆయన అన్నారు. ఎక్కడైతే గంగాదేవి సస్యశ్యామలంగా ప్రవహిస్తూ ఉంటుందో అక్కడ ఆకలిదప్పులు ఉండవన్నారు. నేడు శ్రీహరి క్షేత్రమైన తిరుమలలో గంగాదేవికి ఆలయాన్ని నిర్మించి మహాసంప్రోక్షణ కార్యక్రమాన్ని నిర్వహించడం హరిహర తత్వానికి అభేదం తెల్పినట్లుందన్నారు.
పాపవినాశనం తీర్థంలో పుణ్యస్థానాలు ఆచరించే వేలాదిమంది భక్తులు ఇకపై గంగాదేవి కృపాకటాక్షాలకు కూడా పాత్రులౌతారని ఆయన ఆశించారు.
