Tirupati, 10 April 2016: The spacious Mahati Auditorium which is always abuzz with cultural, devotional and spiritual activities turned out to be a “Earthly Paradise” with stage decorations replicating that of a Paradise on Sunday evening to host the unique programme “Annamaiah Pataku Pattabhishekam” organised by TTD, SVBC and SVRP projects.

The unique programme designed by renowned film director and TTD Trust Board Member Dr K Raghavendra Rao under the supervision of versatile music director Sri MM Keeravani mesmerised the audience who thronged Mahati Auditorium. Every inch of the entire auditorium has been occupied by music lovers of Tirupati.

SHRAVANAM AND BALAMANDIR KIDS LIT THE LIGHT OF OPENING CEREMONY

Meanwhile in a totally different manner from the routine activity, the programme commence with JYOTHI PRAJWALANA by the kids of Shravanam and Sarvasreya (Balamandir) institutions of TTD. The programme commenced with the melodious voice of Sri Keeravani rendering his famous note “Telugu Padaniki Janmadinam…Annamaiah Jananam”.

FELICITATION TO SEVEN TOWERING PERSONALITIES:

Later TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao, JEOs Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, Sri P Bhaskar along with Sri Raghavendra Rao and Sri MM Kener avani felicitated seven renowned personalities as an indication to the Seven Sacred Hills, who have contributed for the promotion and propagation of Sri Venkateswara f. through Annamaiah keertans including former EO Sri PVRK Prasad, Sri Kamisetti Sreenivasulu, Dr Medasani Mohan, Dr Shobharaj, Dr G Balakrishna Prasad, Sri Nageswara Rao, Sri P Ranganath
on this ceremonious occasion.

Speaking on this occasion, Sri PVRK Prasad recalled the commendable services done by the stalwarts Sri Sadhu Subrahmanya Shastri, Sri Rallapalle Anantakrishna Sharma, Sri Veturi Prabhakara Shastry, Sri Janamaddi Hanumacchastri, Sri Ramasubba Sharma in bringing out the Annamaiah sankeertans to lime light. “With an aim to take up Bhakti revolution in a big way in Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Tamilnadu respectively, with the blessings of Lord Venkateswara I got an opportunity to commence Annamacharya Project, Dasa Sahityam Project and Alwar Divya Prabandha projects and today they are standing up to the mark in Bhakti prachara”, he added.

Later during his speech Dr Kamisetti Sreenivasulu known for his majestic voice and great strength of conviction recalled his that during his prolific career he could voice over for various kritis of Annamaiah sung by renowned artistes.

BLESSED AT THE DIVINE LOTUS FEET

Dr Medasani Mohan who served as Director of Annamacharya Project said he was blessed with two things in his life, the first being in the service of Lord Venkateswara having served as Director of Annamacharya Project and next being a renowned Pancha Sahasravadhani, he maintained.

Later Dr Shobharaj, the versatile vocalist who dedicated her entire life in the promotion of Annamacharya Sankeertans described Saint Poet as the ultimate devotee of Lord Venkateswara who inspired many through his impeccable songs.

Dr G Balakrishna Prasad, who holds world record for having composed music to thousands of songs of Annamaiah said in the initial days, all the artistes of first generation of Annamacharya project including Sri Nageswara Rao, Sri P Raghunath pulled the cradle which later became a spice jet after Director Sri K Raghavendra Rao took movie on Annamaiah. “However I can proudly say now that it is we who inspired the film personalities to take a movie on Saint poet”, he added.

Later Sri Nageswara Rao and Sri P Ranganath who with their mellifluous voice won the hearts of music lovers across the globe for years also recalled their journey in Annamaiah Sankeertana Vaibhavam in the past three and a half decades.

RIGHT PLATFORM TO ENCOURAGE YOUNG TALENTS-TTD EO

TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao in his address said that Annamaiah Pataku Pattsbhishekam perfectly suits the occasion as many young talents got an opportunity not only exhibit their talents but also to meet stalwarts who strived hard to popularise Annamaiah Sankeertans. “Our motto is to take up up Hindu Dharma Prachara in a wide spread manner with the help of our SVRP, SVBC and other projects and Sri K Raghavendra Rao and Sri K Keeravani designed the programme in a befitting manner. I wish the young artistes should take forward the legacy with same spirit in future”, he added.

ANNAMAIAH POPULARISED VENKATSWARA THROUGH HIS SANKEERTANS

Saint poet Annamacharya composed “sankeertans” in praise of Lord Venkateswara and During his long career he penned over 32,000 Sankirtanas. Today Annamaiah Pataku Pattabhishekam is befitting ode to the Saint poet as well to the personalities who popularised the kritis, said Ttd JEOs Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, Sri P Bhaskar, trust board members Smt Suchitra Ella, Dr Hariprasad and all projects special officer Sri N Muktheswara Rao.

The programme was presented by popular anchor Smt Jhansi. CEO SVBC Sri Narasimha Rao supervised the arrangements.

Noted Telugu Film Director and TTD trust board member Sri K Raghavendra Rao said that it is the melodious rendition of sankeertans by TTD Annamacharya project artistes which influenced him a lot and inspired him to take the super hit movie Annamaiah.

Earlier Sri MM Keeravani thanked late Sri Veturi Sundara Rama Murthy and Sri SP Balasubramanyam for their contributions to the film Annamaiah and making it a major hit.

Later a over view of Annamaiah Pataku Pattabhishekam which is going to be aired from May 20 onwards on SVBC has been presented by the artistes in live on stage who rendered the popular and new songs of Annamacharya, which enthralled the denizens.
