BABU JAGJEEVAN RAM ENVISAGED MODERN INDIA-SPEAKERS

Tirupati, 5 April 2016: The employees should get inspired by the path laid by our great leaders and should exhibit their expertise in their work and it will be the right tribute to those great souls, said Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar.

In his inaugural address on the occasion of the 109th Birth Anniversary of Babu Jagjeevan Ram organised by the welfare department of TTD in Tirupati on Tuesday in TTD administrative building quadrangle, the JEO said, Babuji was the messaiah who fought for the equality. “Having served as the cabinet minister for over three decades and setting a record, Babu Jagjeevan Ram has envisaged Modern India”, he said.

Later the speakers Prof. Sudharani, Dean of Dr BR Ambedkar Open University, Hyderabad and Sri PTM Siva Prasad, Founder President of Bharatiya Ambedkar Sena and Mahajanam monthly magazine Editor, in the speech briefed about the life history of Sri JagJeevan Ram and the challenges of racial discrimination he encountered from the upper classes during his life time. “In spite of these insults, Sri Babuji stood strong and attained his goal with commitment and devotion. He brought revolutionary achievements while serving as the cabinet minister in different portfolios as Ministry of Labour, Ministry of Communications and Transport, Ministry of Defense, Ministry of Agriculture and as Deputy Prime Minister. He envisioned and envisaged modern India and rightly called “Architect of Modern India”, they maintained.
