Tirumala, 8 December 2019 ; Srivari temple  Deputy Executive Officer Sri Harindranath cleared that there was no property loss and it was only a minor fire accident inside the boondi potu at Tirumala.

Elucidating the incident he said the ghee tin slipped out of the hand of a Potu worker, while he was pouring ghee into the  boondi fryer-Bandli, causing cascading of fire. 

The fire was put off by the fire services staff with assistance of other technical workers within half an hour. There has been no injury to any one and also no loss of property,  the DyEO reiterated.

However as a result of the incident the entire Potu and its surroundings were cleaned up and the production of boondi on 20 stoves  commenced after a small break thereafter,  he added.

తిరుమల, 2019 డిసెంబరు 08 ;శ్రీవారి ఆలయం వెలుపల గల అదనపు బూందీ పోటులో ఆదివారం జరిగింది స్వల్ప అగ్నిప్రమాదమేనని, ఎలాంటి ఆస్తినష్టం జరగలేదని శ్రీవారి ఆలయ డెప్యూటీ ఈఓ శ్రీ హరీంద్రనాథ్ వివరణ ఇచ్చారు.
 
బూందీ తయారీ క్రమంలో పోటు కార్మికుడు బాణలిలో నెయ్యి నింపుతుండగా పొరపాటున నెయ్యి డబ్బా జారి పొయ్యి పై పడడంతో మంటలు అంటుకున్నాయి. స్వల్పంగా చెలరేగిన మంటలు బ్లోయర్ ద్వారా బయటకు వ్యాపించాయి. దట్టమైన పొగ వెలువడింది. అక్కడున్న సాంకేతిక సిబ్బంది సత్వరం స్పందించి మంటలను అదుపులోకి తీసుకొచ్చారు. దీనివల్ల ఎవరికీ ఎలాంటి అపాయం గానీ, ఆస్తి నష్టం గానీ జరగలేదు. 
 
ఈ కారణంగా పోటును శుభ్రం చేయాల్సి రావడం వల్ల 20 పొయ్యిలను తయారీకి దూరంగా ఉంచడం జరిగింది. అరగంటలో పోటును శుభ్రం చేసి బూందీ తయారీ ప్రక్రియను యధావిధిగా కొనసాగించడం జరుగుతోంది.
