SRINIVASA KALYANAM ENTHRALL DENIZENS OF ERNAKULUM

ERNAKULAM, APRIL 20: The celestial wedding of Lord Malayappa Swamy enthralled the denizens of the famous city of Ernakulum in Kerala on Saturday evening.

With an aim to propagate the Hindu Sanatana Dharma and the Sri Venkateswara Bhakti cult across the globe, the temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) has been organising Srinivasa Kalyanams-celestial marriage of Lord with His Consorts, at various places in India and abroad from the past seven years with the replica idols of Lord Sri Malayappa Swamy, Sri Devi and Bhu Devi. (The processional deity of Lord Venakteswara is popularly known as Lord Malayappa Swamy).

For the first time, a series of celestial weddings are taking place in Kerala. On Saturday the divine wedding took place in the spacious grounds of Siva Temple in Ernakulum city. Tens of thousands of pilgrims who participated to see the grandeur of Lord were thrilled to see the Wedding ceremony which started with Punahavachanam, Ankurarpana, Agnipratishta, Vastra Samarpana, Maha Sankalpam, Kanyadanam, Edurkolu and concluded with Harati.

TTDs JEO Tirupati Sri P Venkatrami Reddy took part in this celestial fete on behalf of the temple management. On this occassion the JEO said that for the sake of pilgrims who are unable to visit tirumala, TTD has been conducting the celestial weddings across nations as well as for the sake of NRI’s. He also appealed the devotees to take part in Sri Vari Seva as “manava seva a madhava seva”. He also explained various activities that are been taken up such as Dharma Pracharam, Medical, Educational & charitable activites of TTD.

TTD has so far performed this Kalyanams in all the major cities including Mumbai, Pune, Nashik, Kolhapur, Chennai, Madhurai, Kanyakumari, Hyderabad, Bangalore and many more places in the country and also in US, Canada and Nepal.

Hon’ble Minister for cultural affairs Sri K.V.Thomas, Justice P.N.Ravindran, Justice J.V.Viswanatha Ayyar, Justice J.Bhaskaran, Justice K.R.Raman, Sri Vari Trust Organisers and Fifty thousand devotees witnessed the celestial wedding.

తిరుపతి, ఏప్రిల్‌ 20, 2013: తిరుమల తిరుపతి దేవస్థానం మొట్టమొదటిసారిగా కేరళ రాష్ట్రంలో తలపెట్టిన శ్రీనివాస కల్యాణాల్లో భాగంగా శనివారం సాయంత్రం ప్రసిద్ధి చెందిన ఎర్నాకుళం నగరంలో స్వామివారి కల్యాణం అంగరంగ వైభవంగా జరిగింది. ఇక్కడి టిడిఎం హాల్‌ పక్కన గల శివాలయం మైదానంలో నిర్వహించిన శ్రీవారి కల్యాణానికి సుమారు 50 వేల మంది భక్తులు హాజరయ్యారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా తితిదే తిరుపతి సంయుక్త కార్యనిర్వహణాధికారి శ్రీ పి.వెంకట్రామిరెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ శ్రీవారికి అపరభక్తుడైన కులశేఖర ఆళ్వార్‌ జన్మించిన కేరళ రాష్ట్రంలో శ్రీవారి కల్యాణం నిర్వహించడం ఆనందదాయకమన్నారు. హిందూ సనాతన ధర్మ ప్రచారంలో భాగంగా తిరుమల తిరుపతి దేవస్థానం ఏడేళ్ల క్రితం స్వామివారి కల్యాణాలను ప్రారంభించినట్టు తెలిపారు. రాష్ట్రంలోని జిల్లా కేంద్రాల్లో మాత్రమే గాకుండా మిగిలిన రాష్ట్రాల్లోని ప్రధాన నగరాల్లో, విదేశాల్లోనూ ”శ్రీనివాస కల్యాణం” పేరిట ఈ కల్యాణాలు నిర్వహిస్తోందన్నారు. ఈ కార్యక్రమంతో హైందవ ధర్మ పరిరక్షణతోపాటు సమాజంలో భక్తిభావాన్ని పెంచుతోందని, ఆధ్యాత్మిక విలువలను కూడా తితిదే ప్రచారం చేస్తోందని చెప్పారు. సుదూర ప్రాంతాల నుండి తిరుమలకు రాలేని భక్తులకు స్వామి, అమ్మవార్ల కల్యాణాన్ని కనులారా వీక్షించే భాగ్యాన్ని తితిదే కల్పిస్తోందన్నారు. శ్రీవారి కల్యాణంతో స్వామివారి ఆశీస్సులు ప్రజలందరికీ అందాలని జెఈవో ఆకాంక్షించారు.

కాగా శనివారం సాయంత్రం 6.00 గంటలకు స్వామివారి కల్యాణోత్సవం ప్రారంభమైంది. ప్రధాన అర్చకులు శ్రీ బాలాజి స్వామి తన శిష్యబృందంతో కలిసి యజమాని సంకల్పం, భక్త సంకల్పం, మహాసంకల్పం, మంగళసూత్రధారణ ఘట్టాలతో వేదమంత్రాలు పఠిస్తూ శాస్త్రోక్తంగా స్వామివారి కల్యాణాన్ని నిర్వహించారు.

అంతకుముందు జెఈవో ఉదయం గురువాయూర్‌లోని తితిదే కల్యాణమండపాన్ని సందర్శించారు. అక్కడ చేపట్టాల్సిన మరమ్మతులపై ఆయన ఇంజినీరింగ్‌ అధికారులతో సమీక్ష నిర్వహించారు.
