STERN ACTION IF DEVOTEES ARE CHEATED –  TTD CHAIRMAN

Tirumala, 25 February 2025: TTD Chairman Sri. BR Naidu has warned that strict action will be initiated against the middlemen if the devotees are deceived in the name of darshan. 

An NRI devotee Sri Gopal Raju complained to the Chairman that a group called Tirumala Information was collecting extortionate money from NRI devotees for Srivari Darshan tickets by using the chairman’s photo as a WhatsApp DP and circulating with the name Prasad claiming to be TTD PRO.

In this context, the Chairman ordered the TTD Vigilance Wing officials to take this matter seriously and take action.  The Vigilance Wing staff collected details from the victim and during the preliminary investigation, the accused was identified as Mohammed Javed Khan of Old City, Hyderabad.  

The Tirumala Two Town Police registered a case with FIR No: 18/2025 on the basis of vigilance complaint and are investigating.

In this sequence, the police found that the accused was collecting huge amount from NRI devotees in the name of darshan through WhatsApp group and removing them from the group.

The TTD chairman warned that anyone who cheats the devotees of Srivaru in the name of providing darshans, will not be spared and strict action will be taken against such middlemen and cheaters.

He also appealed that the devotees are advised not to approach fake websites and false campaigns on social media and book darshan and accommodation of Srivaru only through the official website of TTD.
