TIRUMALA, 27 MARCH 2022: The spacious Island Ground, situated on the banks of the Cooum river is all set to host the mega celestial wedding ceremony of Srivaru and His Consorts on April 16.
TTD Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy who held an inspection along with the Chennai LAC Chief Sri Sekhar Reddy, TTD Trust board member Dr Shankar and other officials from TTD and Tamilnadu on the Island on Sunday, later speaking to media persons said, the divine wedding event will be observed with grandeur. “After a gap of two years due to Covid impact, we are resuming our wide range of dharmic activities across the country with this celestial marriage at Chennai and pray that the benign blessings of Srivaru be on the people of Tamilnadu”, he maintained.
He said, one more coordination meeting will be held next week with the Chief Secretary, Public Health Secretary and Chennai Corporation, Police authorities to ensure elaborate arrangements of security, sanitation, traffic regulations, barricading, erection of queue lines etc. ”We have already discussed the backdrop setting to be made on the stage to enhance the grandeur of the divine wedding. The event will be telecasted live on SVBC”, he maintained.
INSPECTS ONGOING WORKS
The Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy also inspected the ongoing works of Sri Padmavathi temple coming up in GN Chetti Road at Chennai on Sunday. He directed the officials to complete the works as per schedule.

ఈ సందర్భంగా అదనపు ఈఓ మాట్లాడుతూ చెన్నైలో శ్రీవారి కల్యాణం నిర్వహించేందుకు స్థానిక సలహా మండలి ఛైర్మన్ శ్రీ శేఖర్ రెడ్డి, ఇతర సభ్యులు ముందుకొచ్చారని తెలిపారు. దీనికి సంబంధించిన ప్రాథమిక ఏర్పాట్లను అధికారులతో కలిసి పరిశీలించామన్నారు. భక్తులు అధిక సంఖ్యలో వచ్చే అవకాశం ఉండడంతో శాంతిభద్రతలు, ఇతర ఏర్పాట్లపై రాష్ట్ర ప్రభుత్వ, చెన్నై కార్పొరేషన్ ఉన్నతాధికారులతో త్వరలో సమావేశం నిర్వహిస్తామని చెప్పారు. శ్రీ శేఖర్ రెడ్డి ఆధ్వర్యంలో బ్యారికేడింగ్, బ్యాక్ డ్రాప్ సెట్టింగ్ తదితర ఏర్పాట్లు జరుగుతాయన్నారు. టిటిడి నుంచి స్వామి, అమ్మవార్ల ఉత్సవమూర్తులను వేంచేపు చేస్తామని, అర్చకులు, వేద పండితులు, అన్నమాచార్య కళాబృందం ఇతర విభాగాల అధికారులు సమన్వయంతో శ్రీనివాస కళ్యాణం నిర్వహిస్తామని తెలిపారు. కోవిడ్ ప్రభావం తగ్గిన నేపథ్యంలో ఈ కల్యాణంతో దేశవ్యాప్తంగా ధార్మిక కార్యక్రమాలు తిరిగి ప్రారంభించినట్టు అవుతుందన్నారు. ఈ కళ్యాణంతో తమిళ ప్రజలకు శ్రీవారి ఆశీస్సులు లభిస్తాయన్నారు.
శ్రీ పద్మావతి అమ్మవారి ఆలయ నిర్మాణ పనుల పరిశీలన
అనంతరం అదనపు ఈవో చెన్నై జిఎన్ చెట్టి రోడ్డులో నిర్మాణంలో ఉన్న శ్రీ పద్మావతి అమ్మవారి ఆలయాన్ని పరిశీలించారు. సివిల్, ఎలక్ట్రికల్ తదితర పనులను పరిశీలించి అధికారులకు పలు సూచనలు చేశారు. నిర్ణీత వ్యవధిలో పనులు పూర్తి చేయాలని అధికారులను ఆదేశించారు.
