Tirumala, 2 June 2017: Advocating that the strong work force of temple management of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams is committed to serve its multitude of pilgrims visiting Tirumala, TTD Executive Officer Sri Anil Kumar Singhal invited the pilgrims to give more suggestions to enhance the quality of services.

The EO has given this clarion call to pilgrims, while he was addressing his maiden “Dial your EO” programme at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday. Before taking the calls from the pilgrims, the EO informed the developmental activities taken up by TTD in the last one month, after he has taken over as TTD EO. The TTD numero uno officer attended 30 pilgrim callers in this programme.

Addressing the callers Sri Ramesh from Bengaluru, Smt Nagamani from Guntur, Sri Krishna Kumar from Nidadavolu who urged the EO to make some amendments while releasing pilgrims near Vendivakili, he said, TTD is working out on the modalities and consulting experts to overcome the issue at this point. “Very soon we will come out with a solution for this long pending issue”, he added.

Taking the calls from pilgrims Sri Chandrasekhar from Anantapur, Sri Anjaneyulu from Tenali, Sri Subramanyam from Chodavaram, Sri Satyabarayana from Warangal, Sri Nagaraja from Chitradurga of Karnataka, he replied, TTD has dispensed with issuing arjitha Seva tickets in e-Darshan counters owing to some allegations of irregularities. “To overcome these issues, we have introduced online quota of arjitha Seva tickets. The software up gradation is under process. The online quota of arjitha Seva tickets for the month of September will be released on June 16 by 11 am”, he added.

Sri Bhaskar from Tamilnadu suggested EO to bring awareness among the pilgrims in all arjitha sevas being rendered to Lord in Tirumala temple in compartments. Reacting to this the EO answered, already we are telecasting on our SVBC channel. However we will look into your suggestion”, he added.

Sri Hari from Bengaluru, Sri Chandrasekhar from Anantapur, Sri Krishna Reddy from Hyderabad, Sri Shankar from Karnataka have sought EO to streamline accommodation system in Tirumala to avoid middlemen menace, for which EO reacted that the vigilance will be directed to be more active and necessary steps will be initiated to overcome the issue.

Another caller Sri Ashok from Maharastra sought EO to arrange state-wise accommodation in Tirumala as the pilgrims are facing severe communication problem. Answering the caller the EO replied that there are over 7300 rooms in Tirumala which could accommodate about 50 thousand pilgrims. “It is not possible to make state wise accommodation within this limited area. The devotees can book accommodation online also”, he maintained.

Pilgrim caller Sri Jaidev Reddy from Hyderabad suggested the EO to enhance the quality of programs in SVBC. “It is the best medium to watch Lord’s glory across the globe. But many programs are repetitive. Improve the quality of programs. Answering the caller EO said, we have conducted a detailed meeting recently and the changes will be seen within couple of months”.

Sri Vijayabhaskar from Visakhapatnam informed the EO to keep the Prasadam distribution area clean and hygienic for which the EO said necessary measures will be initiated immediately.

Another pilgrim caller Sri Anjaneyulu from Mydukuru sought EO to make arrangements in galleries during annual brahmotsavams and rathasapthami as it is too hot to sit under the empty sky for hours together to watch Vahana sevas. The EO replied necessary arrangements will be made soon.
