Tirupati, 13 September 2022: TTD Chairman Sri YV Subba Reddy launched a program to gift free gold thali, silk clothes and foot rings to newly wed in Chandragiri assembly segment of Chittoor district.
At a model wedding ceremony held in Tummalagunta on Monday afternoon, the TTD Chairman presented Wedding gifts with blessings of the presiding deity of Sri Venkateswara at Tummalagunta temple to the seven newly wed couples.
Speaking on the occasion the TTD Chairman said he was happy to launch a program of weddings gifts organised by the Chandragiri MLA and TUDA chairman Sri Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy.
The Chairman said the MLA has been presenting the wedding gifts to youth from the constituency wherever they enter the wedlock for the last 12 years at the local Sri Kalyana Venkateswara temple in Tummalagunta.
He said the unique program was above caste and politics and every youth from the constituency are eligible for the wedding gifts on behalf of the local MLA.
The local MLA Sri Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy said inspired by late CM of Andhra Pradesh Sri YS Raja Sekhara Reddy for the last 12 years he had been practising the service to newly weds in the Tummalagunta temple.
SSD TOKENS INCREASE SOON: TTD CHAIRMAN
The TTD Chairman said TTD is mulling to increase the number of SSD tokens for the sake of common devotees.
It may be recalled that since last four days TTD has been issuing 2000 SSD tokens to devotees hailing from Chittoor district alone.
He appealed to devotees to observe all Covid guidelines of masks, sanitisation and social distancing for their own health safety as well others.

ఈ సందర్భంగా శ్రీ సుబ్బారెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ, చంద్రగిరి శాసనసభ్యులు, తుడా చైర్మన్ శ్రీ చెవిరెడ్డి భాస్కర్ రెడ్డి సొంత నిధులతో నిర్వహిస్తున్న ఈ కార్యక్రమాన్ని తన చేతుల మీదుగా ప్రారంభించడం సంతోషంగా ఉందన్నారు. నియోజక వర్గానికి చెందినవారు ఎక్కడ పెళ్లి చేసుకున్నా ఈ కానుక అందించే కార్యక్రమం శాశ్వతంగా నిర్వహిస్తున్నట్లు చెప్పారు. గత 12 ఏళ్లుగా తుమ్మల గుంట లోని శ్రీ కళ్యాణ వేంకటేశ్వర స్వామి ఆలయంలో వివాహం చేసుకునే జంటలకు ఈ కానుకలు ఇసున్నారని ఆయన చెప్పారు. ఇకపై చంద్రగిరి నియోజకవర్గానికి చెందిన వధువు లేదా వరుడు ఎక్కడ పెళ్లి చేసుకున్నా ఈ కానుక లన్నీ అందజేసే కార్యక్రమం సోమవారం నుంచి ప్రారంభమైందని శ్రీ సుబ్బా రెడ్డి చెప్పారు. కులమతాలు, రాజకీయాలకతీతంగా ఇలాంటి గొప్ప కార్యక్రమం నిర్వహించడం అభినందనీయమన్నారు.
శాసనసభ్యులు శ్రీ చెవిరెడ్డి భాస్కర్ రెడ్డి మాట్లాడుతూ, 12 ఏళ్ల క్రితం దివంగత సీఎం డాక్టర్ వైయస్ రాజశేఖర్ రెడ్డి చేతుల మీదుగా తుమ్మలగుంట లో వివాహం చేసుకునే జంటలకు బంగారు తాళిబొట్టు, మెట్టెలు, పట్టుబట్టలు ఇచ్చే కార్యక్రమాన్ని ప్రారంభించి కొనసాగిస్తున్నామని చెప్పారు. ఇకపై నియోజకవర్గానికి చెందిన వారు ఎక్కడ వివాహం చేసుకున్న ఈ కానుకలు అందజేస్తామని తెలిపారు. అంతకుముందు శ్రీ వై వి సుబ్బారెడ్డి శ్రీ కళ్యాణ వేంకటేశ్వర స్వామి వారి దర్శనం చేసుకున్నారు. ఈ సందర్భంగా శాసనసభ్యులు శ్రీ చెవిరెడ్డి భాస్కర్ రెడ్డి తో పాటు ఆలయ అర్చకులు చైర్మన్ కు ఘనంగా స్వాగతం పలికారు.

కోవిడ్ నేపథ్యంలో అన్ని జాగ్రత్తలు తీసుకుంటూ భక్తులకు ఈ సదుపాయం అందుబాటులోకి తెచ్చామన్నారు. టోకెన్లు పొందడానికి కౌంటర్ల వద్దకు వచ్చే భక్తులు కూడా కోవిడ్ నిబంధనలు పాటించాలని విజ్ఞప్తి చేశారు
