REVIEW MEETINGS HELD BY TTD EO _ తిరుమలలో విప‌త్తుల నిర్వ‌హ‌ణ‌పై టిటిడి ఈవో స‌మీక్ష
Tirumala, 4 February 2022: TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy along with the Additional EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy conducted a series of review meetings at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday.
Later briefing media he said a review meeting was held on Disaster Management Plan. He said a Committee was formed to prepare a Contingency Plan report under the Chairmanship of Additional EO which will be ready by February end.
He said TTD has important challenges for which the contingency plan is required viz. during the time of heavy rains and cloud bursts, fire mishaps, heatwaves in summer, Security, Stampedes, Road accidents, Pandemic etc.
“We have an established security system during heavy rush periods to streamline the pilgrim crowd. But we need to be prepared to face the challenges posed by nature to the maximum extent possible to prevent excessive damage”, he said.
Briefing on the review meeting held on the implementation of plastic ban in Tirumala, he said all the commercial outlets in Hill Town have voluntarily dispensed with the sale of plastic water bottles and covers and replaced them with bio degradable bags and glass bottles as a part of pollution free environmental measures”, he maintained.
The EO said the Srivari Mettu footpath which was immensely damaged due to the unprecedented floods in November last, will be restored by this April end.

అనంతరం ఈవో మీడియాతో మాట్లాడుతూ అద‌న‌పు ఈవో అధ్యక్షతన విప‌త్తుల‌ను ఎదుర్కోనేందుకు కమిటీని ఏర్పాటు చేశామన్నారు. భారీ వ‌ర్షాలు, పిడుగులు, అగ్ని ప్ర‌మాదాలు, వేస‌విలో వ‌డ‌గాలులు, వ‌ర‌ద‌లు, కొండ చ‌రియ‌లు విరిట‌గిప‌డ‌టం, తొక్కిస‌లాట, రోడ్డు ప్ర‌మాదాలు, భ‌ద్ర‌త ప‌ర‌మైన స‌మ‌స్య‌లు సంభ‌వించిన‌ప్పుడు సంబంధిత శాఖ‌లు ఏవిధ‌మైన నివార‌ణ చ‌ర్య‌లు చేప‌ట్ట‌ల‌నే విష‌యంపై ఏర్పాటు చేసిన క‌మిటీ ఈ నెలాఖ‌రులోగా కార్య‌చ‌ర‌ణ ప్ర‌ణాళిక‌లు రూపొందించి నివేదిక స‌మ‌ర్పించ‌నున్న‌ట్లు తెలిపారు.
“యాత్రికుల రద్దీని క్రమబద్ధీకరించడానికి ప‌టిష్ట‌మైన భద్రతా వ్యవస్థను కలిగి ఉన్నామ‌న్నారు. కానీ అధిక నష్టాన్ని నివారించడానికి, ప్రకృతి నుండి ఎదురయ్యే సవాళ్లను సాధ్యమైనంత వరకు ఎదుర్కోవడానికి మనం సిద్ధంగా ఉండాలి” అని ఆయన చెప్పారు.
తిరుమలలో ప్లాస్టిక్ నిషేధం అమలుపై నిర్వహించిన సమీక్షా సమావేశంలో ఆయన మాట్లాడుతూ.. తిరుమలలోని అన్ని వాణిజ్య దుకాణాలు స్వచ్ఛందంగా ప్లాస్టిక్ వాటర్ బాటిళ్లు, కవర్ల విక్రయాలను నిలిపివేసి వాటి స్థానంలో బయో డిగ్రేడబుల్ బ్యాగులు, గాజు సీసాలు అందుబాటులో ఉంచిన్నట్లు తెలిపారు.
గత నవంబర్‌లో సంభవించిన వరదల కారణంగా తీవ్రంగా దెబ్బతిన్న శ్రీవారి మెట్టు మార్గంను ఈ ఏడాది ఏప్రిల్ నెలాఖరు నాటికి పునరుద్ధరిస్తామని ఈవో తెలిపారు.
