TTD TO SIGN MoU ON “DRY FLOWER TECHNOLOGY” ON SEP.13 _ సెప్టెంబ‌రు 13న ఉద్యాన విశ్వ‌విద్యాల‌యంతో ఎంఓయు – టిటిడి ఈవో డాక్ట‌ర్ కె.ఎస్‌.జ‌వ‌హ‌ర్‌రెడ్డి

TIRUPATI, 03 SEPTEMBER 2021:  Continuing its eco-friendly efforts, TTD is all set to sign MoU with YSR Horticulture University on September 13 for making use of Dry Flower Technology to produce decorative products and ornamental materials required for its needs out of the used flowers from TTD temples.

 A meeting was held on the same by TTD EO Dr KS Jawahar Reddy on Friday at his chambers in the TTD Administrative Building in Tirupati along with JEO Smt Sada Bhargavi and VC of Dr YSR Horticultural University, West Godavari Dr Janakiram. The EO said, “Dry Flower Technology is a globally accepted natural, eco-friendly, long-lasting and inexpensive technology which is very much needed at the present scenario in which the entire world is sailing. This technology is used in designing bouquets, paperweights, laminated photos of deities, room freshners, key chains etc. 

 “The Horticultural University will give training to women in the Citrus Research Station located in Tirupati. Later they will use the technology to dry flowers and design the photos of Swamivaru and Ammavaru with those dried flowers. The necessary equipment, training, and infrastructure required for this technology will be provided by TTD at Rs.83lakhs. These photos will be made available for pilgrims in all the TTD sales counters located at Tirumala in two or three months”, EO added.   

FACAO Sri Balaji, DLO Sri Reddeppa Reddy, DyEO Sri Ramanaprasad, YSR Horticulture University Registrar Dr K Gopal, Director of Extension Dr B Srinivasulu, Principal Scientist Dr R Nagaraju were also present.
