e-SWIPE ELECTRONIC LOCKERS LAUNCHED _ శ్రీవారి భక్తుల కొరకు తిరుమలలో ఈ-స్వైప్‌ ఎలక్ట్రానిక్‌ లాకర్లు
TIRUMALA, DECEMBER 2: To enable more number of visiting pilgrims to use the free locker service at the abode of Lord Venkateswara at Tirumala, the temple management of TTD has introduced e-Swipe electronic lockers, for the first time in the temple town on a trial
basis on Thursday evening.
The TTD has set up 21 electronic safes at GNC, SNC, First NC, Sapthagiri, Varaha and Panchajanyam guest houses each consisting of six lockers at an estimated cost of about Rs.18lakhs. The Special Grade Deputy EO (Reception) Sri B.Lakshmi Kantham and Reception II Deputy EO Smt Baby Sarojini inaugurated the electronic safe lockers at six guest houses on Thursday evening.
Sri Lakshmikantham said that the e-lockers are at the service of the pilgrims totally free of cost. “The pilgrims need not pay the caution deposit for it and they can use the lockers using any code number of their choice or even the ATM card number. If they forget the code number, then the master key is available with the counter in charge”, he added.

తిరుమల, 2010 డిశెంబర్‌-02: తిరుమలకు నిత్యం విచ్చేసే వేలాది భక్తుల సౌకర్యార్థం తిరుమల తిరుపతి దేవస్థానం తొలిసారిగా ఉచిత ఈ-స్వైప్‌ ఎలక్ట్రానిక్‌ లాకర్లను గురువారం నాడు ప్రయోగాత్మకంగా ప్రవేశపెట్టింది. తిరుమలలోని జి.యన్‌.సి, ఎస్‌.న్‌.సి, మొదటి సత్రం, సప్తగిరి సత్రాలు, వరాహస్వామి, పాంచజన్య అతిథిగృహాలలో ఈ లాకర్లను రిసెప్షన్‌ అధికారులు శ్రీ బి.లక్ష్మీకాంతం, శ్రీమతి బేబి సరోజిని ప్రారంభించారు.
తొలివిడతగా రూ.18 లక్షలతో ఏర్పాటు చేసిన ఈ 21 ఎలక్ట్రానిక్‌ పరికరాలలో ఆరేసి చొప్పున మొత్తం 126 లాకర్లు భక్తులకు గురువారం నాటి నుండి అందుబాటులోకి వచ్చాయి. ఈ లాకర్లను ఉపయోగించుకోదలచిన భక్తులు ఏదైన ఒక కోడ్‌ నెంబరును గుర్తుపెట్టుకొని తమ వస్తువులను జాగ్రత్త పరచుకొనవచ్చు లేదా ఏదేని ఎటియమ్‌ కార్డు నెంబరునైన ఉపయోగించుకొనవచ్చునని రిసెప్షన్‌ స్పెషల్‌ గ్రేడ్‌ డిప్యూటి ఇ.ఓ శ్రీ బి.లక్ష్మీకాంతం తెలిపారు.
ఒకవేళ భక్తులు తమ కోడ్‌ నెంబరును మరచిన యెడల, లాకరు మాస్టర్‌ కీ కౌంటర్‌ ఇన్‌చార్జి వద్ద పొందవచ్చునని ఆయన తెలిపారు. భక్తులకు మెరుగైన, ఆధునిక వసతులు కల్పించడంలో భాగంగా తాము ఈ ఎలక్ట్రానిక్‌ సేఫ్‌ లాకర్లను ప్రవేశపెట్టడం జరిగింది అని ఆయన తెలిపారు.
