TRADITIONAL SARE PRESENTED TO TATAIAHGUNTA GANGAMMA

Tirupati, 10 May 2025: TTD Chairman Sri BR Naidu, along with the EO Sri J Syamala Rao, presented the traditional Sare to Sri Tataiahgunta Gangamma in Tirupati on Saturday evening.

The Gangamma Jatara happens to be a famous folk festival in the pilgrim city of Tirupati, which began on May 06 and will continue till May 13.

Initially, special prayers were offered to Sri Pundarikavalli Ammavaru in Sri Govindaraja Swamy temple in Tirupati, and then the Sare was taken out in a colourful procession amidst pomp and gaiety.

Speaking to the media on this occasion, TTD Chairman Sri BR Naidu said that Gangamma is believed to be the sister of Sri Venkateswara Swamy and that devotees offer worship to this folk Goddess with utmost devotion.

He said that the festival will be held in a unique way to reflect the customs and lifestyles of the people of Tirupati and the surrounding areas.

The development programs of the Tatayya Gunta Gangamma Temple are being carried out on a fast pace with TTD funds, and the same cooperation will be provided in the future.

Speaking on this occasion, TTD EO said that it is customary to offer Sare to the goddess on the fourth day of the festival every year in the month of Chaitra.

He said that arrangements have been made for the Gangamma Jatara with a cost of Rs. 60 lakhs, and various development works with a cost of Rs. 3.50 crores will start soon.

He said that devotees from the surrounding areas of Tirupati as well as from the states of Telangana, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, visit during the Gangamma Jatara every year.

తిరుపతి, 2025, మే 10: తిరుపతిలోని శ్రీ తాతయ్యగుంట గంగమ్మకు శనివారం టిటిడి తరఫున టిటిడి ఛైర్మన్ శ్రీ బీఆర్ నాయుడు, ఈవో శ్రీ జె శ్యామల రావు లు సారె సమర్పించారు. మే 06 తేదీన చాటింపుతో మొదలైన గంగమ్మ జాతర మే 13వ తేదీ వరకు జరుగనున్న విషయం విదితమే. ముందుగా సారెకు తిరుపతిలోని శ్రీ గోవిందరాజస్వామివారి ఆలయంలోని శ్రీ పుండరీకవల్లి అమ్మవారి వద్ద ప్రత్యేక పూజలు చేసిన అనంతరం మేళతాళాలు, మంగళవాయిద్యాలు, కళాబృందాల ప్రదర్శనల నడుమ ఊరేగింపుగా సారెను తీసుకెళ్లారు. అంతకుముందు శేషవస్త్రాలు, పసుపు కుంకుమ తదితర మంగళద్రవ్యాలతో కూడిన సారెను తిరుపతి ఎమ్మెల్యే శ్రీ ఎ. శ్రీనివాసులు కు టిటిడి ఛైర్మన్ , టిటిడి ఈవో అందజేశారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా టిటిడి ఛైర్మన్ శ్రీ బీఆర్ నాయుడు మీడియాతో మాట్లాడుతూ గంగమ్మ తల్లి సాక్షాత్తు శ్రీవేంకటేశ్వరస్వామి వారికి సోదరి అని ప్రతీతి అని, భక్తుల కోరికలు తీర్చే దైవంగా అమ్మవారు పూజలందుకుంటున్నారని తెలిపారు. తిరుపతి, పరిసర ప్రాంతాల ప్రజల ఆచార వ్యవహారాలను, వారి జీవన విధానాలను ప్రతిబింబించేలా అపురూపంగా జాతర జరుగుతుందని చెప్పారు. టిటిడి నిధులతో తాతయ్య గుంట గంగమ్మ ఆలయం అభివృద్ధి కార్యక్రమాలు శరవేగంగా జరుగుతున్నాయని, ఇదే సహకారాన్ని భవిష్యత్తులో అందిస్తామన్నారు.

ఈ సందర్భంగా టిటిడి ఈవో మాట్లాడుతూ, ప్రతి ఏటా చైత్ర మాసంలో జాతర సందర్భంగా నాలుగో రోజున అమ్మవారికి టిటిడి సారె సమర్పించడం ఆనవాయితీగా వస్తోందన్నారు. రూ. 60 లక్షలతో గంగమ్మ జాతరకు ఏర్పాట్లు చేశామని, రూ.3.50 కోట్లతో పలు అభివృద్ధి పనులు త్వరలో ప్రారంభం కానున్నాయని తెలిపారు. తిరుపతి పరిసర ప్రాంతాలతో పాటు తెలంగాణ, కర్నాటక, తమిళనాడు రాష్ట్రాల నుండి భక్తులు గంగమ్మ తల్లిని దర్శించుకుంటున్నారని తెలిపారు.

అనంతరం శ్రీ గోవిందరాజస్వామి, శ్రీ పార్థసారధిస్వామి, శ్రీగోదాదేవి, శ్రీ కల్యాణ వేంకటేశ్వరస్వామివారిని టిటిడి ఈవో దర్శించుకున్నారు.

ముందుగా శ్రీ తాతయ్య గుంట గంగమ్మ ఆలయానికి టిటిడి ఛైర్మన్ శ్రీ బీఆర్ నాయుడు దంపతులు, టిటిడి ఈవో శ్రీ జె శ్యామల రావు దంపతులు చేరుకుని అమ్మవారిని దర్శించుకున్నారు. దర్శనానంతరం ఆలయ అధికారులు వారికి తీర్థప్రసాదాలను అందించారు.
