Tirupati,30 June 2023: TTD EO Sri AV Dharma Reddy asserted that the TTD-run BIRRD hospital with its proficiency expertise and infrastructure is completely geared to handle critical surgeries and is ranked as a national-level referral hospital.
Inaugurating the three-day Operative Arthoplasty Summit at the Grand Ritz hotel on Friday in the temple city, the EO said such summits are usually rarely be conducted in the country with just 10-12 live surgery sessions. But the BIRRD summit has scheduled 22 live surgeries in three days by top 20 Ortho surgeons of the country and nearly 200 surgeons are attending the summit.
He said such conferences promote exchange of skills and new concepts and expands the horizons of medical history in the country.
The BIRRD hospital is conducting several such critical operations including cerebral palsy surgeries free of cost and medical exponents from across the country have been visiting Tirupati and extending their services for whom TTD provides free accommodation, transport, food besides Srivari Darshan.
He complimented the OSD of BIRRD hospital Dr Reddappa Reddy, Dr Pradip, Dr Venugopal and Dr Deepak for their excellent coordination in conducting the first of its kind Summit in a big way.
Dr Krishna Kumar, a visiting Ortho expert said BIRRD hospital will soon earn its place on the world map and debutant doctors would have a lot to learn here.
Dr Martin Zimmerman, a hip replacement expert of Switzerland gave a presentation on new medical technology in Arthoplasty surgeries.
Dr Rajesh Malhotra, Head of the Orthopaedic wing at AIIMS, New Delhi said the BIRD summit had achieved a remarkable feat of bringing all kneecap transplants on a single platform and providing opportunity for treatment to poor patients.
On the first day of the summit, Dr Martin Zimmerman of Ceram Tec Hospital of Switzerland, Dr BD Mukherjee of Apollo Hospital, Kolkata, Dr Uday Krishna of KIMS Hospital, Secunderabad, Dr JV Srinivas of Escort Hospital, Bangalore, Dr Rajkumar of Ranga hospital, Coimbatore, Dr Chandrasekhar of Care hospital, Hyderabad and Dr Rajesh Malhotra, Head of Orthopaedic wing at AIIMS, New Delhi were present.
The summit participants watched the live surgeries of critical cases conducted by experts in the state of art operation theatres at BIRRD Hospital.

తిరుపతి 30 జూన్ 2023: ప్రపంచ స్థాయి వసతులతో అభివృద్ధి చేసిన బర్డ్ ఆసుపత్రి దేశంలోని అనేక క్లిష్టమైన సర్జరీలకు రెఫరల్ ఆసుపత్రిగా తయారైందని టీటీడీ ఈవో శ్రీ ఎవి ధర్మారెడ్డి చెప్పారు.
గ్రాండ్ రిడ్జ్ హోటల్ లో శుక్రవారం ఆయన బర్డ్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో నిర్వహిస్తున్న మూడు రోజుల జాతీయ స్థాయి ఆర్థో ప్లాస్టీ సదస్సును ప్రారంభించారు.
ఈ సందర్బంగా ఈవో మాట్లాడుతూ, దేశంలో ఇలాంటి సమ్మిట్ లు అరుదుగా జరుగుతాయని, అందులో కూడా 10 నుండి 12 దాకా మాత్రమే లైవ్ సర్జరీలు చేస్తారని చెప్పారు. బర్డ్ ఆధ్వర్యంలో తొలిసారి నిర్వహిస్తున్న సమ్మిట్ లోనే 22 లైవ్ సర్జరీలు నిర్వహించడం గర్వకారణమని శ్రీ ధర్మారెడ్డి చెప్పారు. దేశంలో పేరొందిన టాప్ 20 ఆర్థో సర్జన్లు ఇక్కడికి వచ్చి సర్జరీలు చేస్తున్నారని తెలిపారు. దేశంలోని వివిధ ప్రాంతాల నుండి సుమారు 200 మంది సర్జన్లు పాల్గొనడం గొప్ప విషయమన్నారు. ఇలాంటి సమ్మిట్ లు సర్జరీల్లో నైపుణ్యాన్ని పెంచుకోవడానికి, కొత్త విషయాలు తెలుసుకోవడానికి ఉపయోగ పడతాయని ఆయన తెలిపారు. బర్డ్ లో క్లిష్టమైన, అరుదైన ఆపరేషన్లే కాకుండా సెరిబ్రల్ పాల్సీ తో పాటు ఇతర క్లిష్టమైన ఆపరేషన్లు కూడా పేదలకు ఉచితంగా చేస్తున్నామని చెప్పారు. దేశం లోని వివిధ ప్రాంతాల నుండి అనేక మంది వైద్య నిపుణులు బర్డ్ కు వచ్చి పేదలకు ఉచితంగా ఆపరేషన్లు చేస్తున్నారని ఆయన వివరించారు. సమ్మిట్ లో పాల్గొన్న సర్జన్లు కూడా బర్డ్ లో పేదలకు ఉచితంగా ఆపరేషన్లు చేయడానికి ముందుకు రావాలని పిలుపు నిచ్చారు. ఇలా ఉచిత సేవ చేయడానికి ముందుకొచ్చే డాక్టర్లకు వసతి,రవాణా, భోజనం, తిరుమల స్వామివారి దర్శనం ఉచితంగా కల్పిస్తామని ఈవో చెప్పారు. సమ్మిట్ ను చక్కగా నిర్వహిస్తున్న బర్డ్ ప్రత్యేకాధికారి డాక్టర్ రాచపల్లి రెడ్డెప్ప రెడ్డి,డాక్టర్ ప్రదీప్, డాక్టర్ వేణుగోపాల్, డాక్టర్ దీపక్ బృందాన్ని ఈవో ప్రత్యేకంగా అభినందించారు.
