TIRUMALA, 5 February 2016: Providing hassle free accommodation, darshan, tonsuring and prasadam facilities to the scores of pilgrims are the top most priorities of TTD and to enhance transparency in the system TTD will use the advanced technology, said TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.

Before taking the calls from pilgrim public during the monthly “Dial Your EO”programme which was held on Friday at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala, the EO said, in the last one year, TTD has spread its IT wing and brought several revolutionary changes in the on-line booking of darshan tickets, accommodation etc. with the help of IT wizards like SIFI, TCS apart from its own IT wing.

MOBILE APP SOON:

“Development and improvement are every day activity. We are contemplating to develop a mobile app to book Rs.300 tickets soon”, he added.

TAKE PART IN LADDU PRASADA SEVA:

Welcoming the pilgrims to take part in srivari seva voluntary service, he said among the various service areas in Srivari Seva, Laddu Prasada Seva provides a rare opportunity of issuing the most sought after prasadam of Lord Venkateswara-the laddu prasadam by the pilgrim. “Recently we have extended the services of srivari sevakulu to 10 counters and many pilgrims are showing interest to take part in this service. A little knowledge of computer is enough to take part in this innovative, novel and noble service”, EO said.

TTD RELEASES 53309 ARJITHA SEVA TICKETS

TTD EO said, TTD has released a total of 53,309 arjitha seva tickets on internet quota for the month of March 2016 which includes :

suprabhatam-6232, tomala-140, archana-140, nijapada-1500,visesha puja-1500, astadala-80, kalyanotsavam-11622, vasanthotsavam-11180, arjita brahmotsavam-6020, unjal seva-3100, sahasra deepam-11875

PACCHA THORANAM IN SAPTHAGIRI

Taking the call from caller Sri Durga Prasad from Guntur who enquired about Sapthagiri magazine, the EO said, from January 2016 onwards, the TTD spiritual magazine-Sapthagiri is coming with all pages in colour. “The special attraction in our first edition is “Dhanurmasa Tiruppavai” translated in Telugu by renowned scholar Sri Devulapalli Krishnashasty with the beautiful narrative figures by popular artist Sri Bapu. The February edition will feature special story on various prasadams under the title “Paccha Thoranam”.

RESTART SASTIPURTI:

While another pilgrim Sri Subramanyam from Chennai sought EO to restart Sastipurthi programme at Tirumala which used to be earlier, for which EO said the possibilities will soon be discussed with the concerned officers.
Sri Mallikarjuna Reddy, Sri Vishnu Teja, Sri Nageswara Rao, Sri Pavan kumar suggested to enhance the on-line services of TTD for which the EO answered that now the IT services of TTD have been streamlined with the help of renowned IT companies. And further improvements will be made from time to time.

VIDEOGRAPHY SEVA:

Another pilgrim caller, Sri Seshu from Narsipatnam, who is a freelance video journalist by profession, requested TTD EO to provide an opportunity to render free services to TTD in his professional point of view. While welcoming the idea thrown by the pilgrim caller, the EO said, TTD will utilise the services of interested pilgrims, if they record the festivals in their home town temples and send it to TTD. “We will check and see whether they can be telecasted in our SVBC”, he added.

ARRANGEMENTS FOR SURYA JAYANTHI COMPLETE-TIRUMALA JEO

With a concrete plan of action, all the departments of TTD have set ready for the mega one day religious event of Radhasapthami-Surya Jayanthi festival which falls on February 14, said Tirumala JEO Sri K S Sreenivasa Raju. “Lord takes celestial ride on seven different vahanams from morning to night on that day. We are taking all measures to provide hassle free darshan to pilgirms also”, he added.

SVV IN HYDERABAD FROM FEB 7-12

The fifth phase of Sri Venkateswara Vaibhavotsavams will be performed from February 7-12 in Hyderabad in the state of Telengana in the spacious NTR grounds, said, Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhakar.

CCTVs AT ALL GATES

The CVSO Sri D Nagendra Kumar said, CC cameras have been installed in all the 14 gates on Radhasapthami and inter connected to the police control room. “All measures have been taken to take care of the pilgrim safety”, he added.

ADITYA HRUDAYAM AND SURYASTAKAM ON RADHASAPTHAMI-SO

The students in TTD-run SV Balamandir School will render Aditya Hrudayam and Suryastakam during the Suryaprabha Vahana seva onFebruary 14 on the auspicious occasion of Radhasapthami, said All Projects Special Officer Sri N Muktheswara Rao. He said, this will be an added attraction during the mega festival. “We have trained over 300 students in these Sanskrit verses. Our motto is to develop them not only academically but as complete citizens of this great country”, he added.

1000-PILLAR MANDAPAM IN ONE YEAR

TTD Chief Engineer Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy said, the 1000-pillar mandapam which is now going to be functional as Mahamani Mandapam will be completed in Narayanagiri Gardens in a year.
Elaborating he said, the Mahamani Mandapam will act as a resting place for the pilgrims who are waiting in the queue lines in Narayanagiri Gardens when the rush is heavy. “We are erecting 336 pillars for the purpose”, he added.

TTD publication stall is an eye catcher of every book lover in the ongoing Pustaka Mahotsavam which is open in SV High School grounds in Tirupati.

The CDs and publications of TTD are selling with penchant by the book lovers who are visiting the stall, said TTD PRO Dr T Ravi.
