SRINIVASA KALYANAM MUSES NELLORE DENIZENS

Nellore, October 19: The denizens of Nellore were captivated by the spiritual charm of the wedding ceremony of the processional deities that took place in VPR Convention Hall at Kanaparthi Padu, Nellore Dist on Saturday evening.

The celestial wedding which began by 6.30pm with Punyahavachanam by the archakas of Tirumala in a grand way continued till 8.30pm for about two hours. The priests performed the Kalyanam of Lord Malayappa Swamy with His two Consorts Sridevi and Bhudevi in a colourful manner as per Hindu marriage tradition with Vishwaksena Aradhana, Ankurarpana, Raksha Bandhana, Agni Pratistha, New silk Vastrams, Maha Sankalpam, Kanyadanam, Mangalya Dharana, Varana Mayiram and concluded with Nakshatra Harati and Mangala Harati.

Tens of thousands of people converged in the sprawling area of convention hall to witness the grandeur of the celestial wedding and chanted Govinda Nama with overwhelming excitement.

Speaking on this ceremonious occasion, TTD Trust Board Chairman Sri K Bapiraju said, TTD has been organising these Srinivasa Kalyanams from the past seven years in hamlets, towns, cities, metros of the countries as well in abroad with a noble aim to propagate the Sri Venkateswara Bhakti Cult as well to bestow peace and prosperity across the globe.

TTD Board Member Sri Sivaprasad, MP Sri Magunta Sreenivasulu Reddy, Chennai Local Advisory Member Sri Prabhakar Reddy and a huge gathering of devotees were present.
