EKADASI KALYANAMS IN UPAMAKA TEMPLE FROM MARCH 18-27

Tirupati, 24 February 2016: The nine-day festival Ekadasi Kalyanams in the famous TTD-taken over temple of Upamaka in Vizag will be observed from March 18-27.

In this regard, Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar held a meeting with officials in his chambers at Tirupati administrative building on Wednesday. He has instructed the Engineering officials to complete the pending works including civil, electrical, decorations for Kalyana Vedika, barricading etc. before March 15.
Meanwhile there will be a review meeting on this event with the local body authorities in Upamaka on March 9 over the arrangements.

As this is going to be the first major religious event after TTD has taken over this ancient temple of Lord Venkateswara here, the temple management is all set to conduct it in a prestigious manner as over a lakh people are expected to take part in the mega spiritual event.

While Srinivasa Kalyanam will be performed on March 19 and Chakrasnanam on March 23 in the natural sea waters.

CE Sri Chandra Sekhar Reddy, Additional CVSO Sri Siva Kumar Reddy, Sri Padmavathi temple Special Gr DyEO Smt Chenchu Lakshmi, SE Sri Sudhakar Rao, Annaprasadam DyEO Sri Venugopal and others were present.
