TTD GOSHALAS SET FOR A MAJOR TRANSFORMATION _ టీటీడీ గోశాలలను అంతర్జాతీయ ప్రమాణాలతో అభివృద్ధి చేయాలి

Tirumala, 26 September 2026: The TTD Goshalas are poised for a significant transformation, with plans underway to develop them in accordance with international standards of animal welfare, hygiene, safety and infrastructure.

A meeting to discuss the proposed development was held on Saturday at Sudharma Conference Hall in Tirumala. 

TTD Additional Executive Officer Sri Ch. Venkaiah Chowdary met representatives of Vantara, a Reliance Industries initiative, which has voluntarily come forward to undertake the development of the TTD Goshalas and animal care centres free of cost.

The initiative seeks to create a safer, cleaner and more comfortable environment for the animals while modernising the existing facilities. 

The proposed improvements include tiling the walls, painting steel structures, installing GI mesh to prevent the entry of birds and other animals, providing new stainless-steel gates, repairing walls and undertaking comprehensive painting works.

According to the Vantara representatives, the facilities will be designed after taking into consideration the natural movement of cattle. 

Adequate ventilation, proper fodder and drinking-water facilities, efficient drainage and green surroundings will form an integral part of the development plan.

The proposed makeover is not limited to infrastructure alone. It is also aimed at strengthening the system of animal care and cow protection at the TTD Goshalas. 

The facilities are expected to evolve into well-organised centres that provide better living conditions for the animals and support their overall well-being.

During the meeting, the Vantara team made a PowerPoint presentation on the comprehensive development plan. 

The presentation covered various aspects of infrastructure improvement, animal welfare and the creation of a pleasant and hygienic environment.

The Additional EO also emphasised the importance of producing, as far as possible, the milk products required for the Lord’s Kainkaryams within Tirumala itself. 

He directed the officials to prepare a detailed plan to meet the requirements locally.

Such an initiative would help TTD move towards greater self-sufficiency in the preparation of milk products used in the Lord’s Kainkaryams. At the same time, it would further strengthen the integrated development of the Goshalas and give renewed importance to cow protection.

The planned transformation of the TTD Goshalas reflects a broader vision in which tradition, animal welfare and modern facility management come together. 

With improved infrastructure, scientific planning and greater attention to animal care, the Goshalas are expected to become exemplary centres dedicated to the protection and well-being of cattle.

TTD JEO for Health and Education Sri Prabhala Gopinath, SV Goshalas Director Sri Siva Kumar, SE 2 Sri Venu Gopal, EE Sri Srinivasa Rao and other officials participated in the meeting.
