GRAND PAVITRA SAMARPANA AT SRI GT

Tirupati, 13 September 2016: On the second day of the holy ritual of Pavitrotsavam, Pavitra samarpana was grandly performed at the Sri Govindaraja Swamy Temple this morning.

As part of the event Suprabatham, Thomala Seva, Sahasrarchana and Kumkumarchana were performed to the deity in the morning. Later the Utsava idols of Swami and consorts were taken in a procession to the Yaga shala where the Snapana Thirumanjanam was performed in a grand manner. The abhishekam was performed to the Utsava idols with milk, honey, sandal, coconut water and several fruit juices.

Pavitra samarpana was performed to Main idol, utsava idol of Sri Govindaraja swamy, Vimana Prakaram, Dwajasthambam, all sub temples, Sri matham and the Sri Anjaneyaswami.

In the evening the Utsav idols will be taken out in a procession on the four mada streets of the temple and several vedic rituals were performed at the Yaga shala in the evening.

Among others Sri Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyangar Swami, Sri Sri Sri China Jeeyangar Swami, Temple DyEO Smt Varalakshmi, AEO Sri Prasada Murthy Raju and others participated in the celestial event.
