TWIN RELIGIOUS EVENTS ON DEC 29 IN SRI KRT

Tirupati, 21 December 2016: The twin events of Sahasra Kalasabhishekam and Hanumantha Vahana Seva will be observed ancient temple of Lord Sri Kodanda Rama Swamy located in the heart of Tirupati City on December 29.
Following the dark moon phase on that day, the Hanumantha Vahana Seva will take place between 7pm and 9pm in four mada streets.

According to Vaikhanasa agama five days are considered to be auspicious in vaishnava temples, viz. Pournami, Amavasya, Sukla Ekadasi, Krishna Ekadasi and Sravana or Punarvasu Nakshatram.

Since Lord Hanuman is revered as “Sankata Mochana”, the destroyer of evil powers and bad ideologies, The Hanumantha Seva will be observed on the auspicious Amavasya day of every month in this famous temple.

Meanwhile the Sahasra Kalasabhishekam will be performed between 6am and 8am. The devotees taking part in this fete should pay Rs.500 on which two persons will be allowed.
