SV VEDIC VARSITY FOR PROTECTION AND PROMOTION OF VEDAS-EO

Tirupati, 25 January 2017: The chief motto of TTD behind establishing SV Vedic Varsity is for the protection and promotion of Vedas, asserted TTD EO Dr D Sambasiva Rao.

The TTD administrative Chief took part in the valedictory of the two-day national seminar of Vaikhanasa Agama and Pancharatra Agama that took place in varsity premises on Wednesday evening.

Speaking on this occasion, the EO said, TTD has also set up SV Vedic Trust to protect the Vedas and encourage students to take up vedic courses. “So far we have 34 crores in the Trust. We have been using the interest on this amount towards the promotion of vedic activities. We have set up seven vedic schools and also providing assistance to 87 other vedic schools in the country with the noble mission of promoting vedas for future generation”, he added.

Adding further the EO said, we are giving a stipend to the students who have taken up Vedic and Agama courses. They will get the amount after the completion of their studies. We have also started Vedaparayanadar Scheme which provides wide range of scope for our vedic students after they excel in the vedic studies. I congratulate our Vedic Varsity team for felicitating the Vaikhanasa and Pancharatra Agama pundits today and should also develop our students on their lines”, he wished.

Varsity Vice Chancellor Prof. KE Devanathan and otehrs were also present.
