ABHISHEKAM PERFORMED TO THROVA NARASIMHA SWAMY

Tirumala, 21 November 2014: Following the birth star of Narasimha Swamy located in the Alipiri footpath route which is popularly called “Throva Narasimha Swamy”, special puja and abhishekam have been performed to the presiding deity of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy.

Usually, TTD performs Narasimha Jayanthi in Tirumala temple on the Chaturdasi day in the month of Vaisakha every year. But to the lord of this particular temple, the Narasimha Jayanthi is being observed following the birth star. As Friday happens to be the advent of Swathi Natkshatra-the birth star of Throva Narasimha Swamy, Narasimha Jayanthi is observed in a ceremonious way.

Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, OSD Sri P Seshadri, temple priests, devotees trekking the foot path route took part in this ritual.
Later annaprasadams have been distributed to the pilgrims.
