ACCOMMODATION OCCUPANCY RATIO INCREASES BY 8% IN TIRUMALA

TIRUMALA, JUNE 2: With the the initiatives taken up by TTD Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao in implementing transparent mechanism, the occupancy ratio of accommodation in Tirumala has shown an increase of 8% in the month of May when compared to last year adding Rs.1.54cr to TTD coffers.

TTD Executive Officer Dr D Sambasiva Rao reviewed on various important issues including temple, Annaprasadam, Vigilance, laddu counters, health, banking services, procurement of grocery, forest and greenery in the weekly co-ordination meeting held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Tuesday.

He said, the first and foremost motto of TTD is to provide the best possible services to the multitude of visiting pilgrims at all levels including darshan, accommodation, laddu, annaprasadam, health and hygiene etc. “We should not get satisfied with the good services we are providing to pilgrims. Every day we should keep on working on how best we can provide enhanced services to the pilgrims”, he asserted.

The EO asked the Bank Officials who are offering services to TTD in Arjitham Counters, Laddu Prasadam counters, Rs.300 and Rs.50 darshan counters etc. to extract enhanced services from the staff deployed by them in the respective counters for the benefit of the pilgrims.

The EO directed the TTD Garden Deputy Director and DFO to come out with an action plan to make Tirumala a green city by taking up massive plantation of seasonal, annual and perennial plantation and also red-sanders and sandalwood to give an aesthetic feel to the pilgrims visiting the hill town.

Later the EO also reviewed on the ongoing engineering works in Tirumala and asked the officials concerned to speed up the works. He also asked the Annaprasadam wing to think of more menus to serve to the pilgrims waiting in queue lines and compartments.

Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju, CVSO Sri Nagendrakumar, Additional FACAO Sri Balaji, CE Sri Chandrasekhar Reddy and other HoDs were also present.
