ADEQUATE ARANGEMENTS TO FACILITATE PILGRIMS VISIT DURING SERIES OF HOLIDAYS_ EO TTD

Tirumala: 9 August 2016: Tirumala is all set to facilitate large number devotees this week end rush from August 12-15 said Dr D Sambasiva Rao.

Reviewing the arrangements at a meeting in Annamaiah Bhavan Tirumala, the TTD EO directed all officials to make all out efforts to ensure that the devotees were not put to any hardships in getting rooms, darshan and also laddu prasavam etc. adequate buffer stock of laddus to meet the demands of pilgrims.

He said the TTD would also suspend the caution deposit for 754 rooms of donors in 64 guest houses under Reception -I at Tirumala from August 15th onwards for benefit of devotees.

Dr Sambasiva Rao said the one-stop complex for Sheegra Darshan devotees- ticket scanning, luggage counter etc is ready and being stabilised. Similar complex for Divya Darshan devotees- compact with ticket scanning, luggage counters etc will also be ready by the Brahmotsavam time.

He also directed the garden department to decorate all the major arterial junctions and other locations from Annadanam complex, Padmavati Rest House, Vaukuntam-1, GNC toll gate with flowers and greenery to promote spiritual and devotional environment on the hill shrine. He also asked the TTD forest department to take up cost effective greenery and flower decorations of PTC, Parveti mandapam, Filter house and the ghat road on back side of Padmavati Rest house.

He directed the FMS officials to take up mass cleaning drive the 7100 rooms available at Tirumala in all guest houses at Tirumala on a war footing and all drainage, civil and electrical works also should be completed ahead of Brahmotsavam. The Srivari sevaks should also be provided mats and blankets during their stay at the PAC’s RO plants also should be installed at main Kalyana Katta, Varahaswami Guest house, Silathoranam, and Srivari padalu locations for meeting the demand for clean and safe drinking water.

He asked the transport officials to prepare a flow chart of timings and routes for running of free bus services at Tirumala. The devotees also should be given an SMS alert on the time set for vacating their rooms in Tirumala. The devotees at Kalyanakatta, Vaikuntam Q complex, Rs.300 sheegra darshan should be encouraged to wear the Srivari Namam with help of Srivari Sevaks. Special Rs. One coin box phones would be installed at all the compartments in VQC with cooperation of the BSNL, he said.

The EO also asked the officials to use quality and clean rice in the anna prasadams and the ghee tankers should be cleaned up regularly as per a schedule. The Primary Health Centre at the Gali gopuram set up to facilitate the devotees on walkers path should be strengthened with para medical staff and a women nurse as well,he directed the CMO.
