ALL ARRANGEMENTS IN PLACE FOR NAVARATHRI BRAHMOTSAVAMS- JEO KS RAJU

Tirumala, 9 October 2015: TTD Joint Executive Officer Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju today said that all efforts and arrangements were in place at tirumala in an uncompramising manner for the smooth conduction of the Navaratri Btrahmotsavams slated to begin from October 12 to October 22.

Reviewing all the arrangements and inspecting the preparations on Friday, the JEO said the Ankurarpanam of the Brahmotsavam will be performed on October 13th at 7PM and the festival will commence with full gusto and devotional zeal from October 14th. ‘We have cancelled all arjitha sevas and only those who come under protocol will be given break darshan during the period of Brahmotsavams ‘he confirmed.

Sri Raju said that common devotees will be given priority and more darshan time during the entire day and all devotee free facilities like annaprasadam, tonsuring, transport and accommodation will be ramped up. All security arrangements like barricades in Four Mada streets, entry points to galleries and two line queue system for harathi points will be maintained to aviod hardships to devotees. Special and additional exit gates have been installed for easy and smooth evacuation of devotees after the vahana seva ‘he added.

The JEO also declared that plying of two wheeler from Tirupati to Tirumala and vice versa was suspended on the Tirumala ghat roads from midnight of October 17th to 10AM of 19th in view of the Garuda seva vahanam on October 18. Special parking lots for two wheelers have been made at both Alipiri and Srivari mettu foot paths for benefit of local devotees coming for Garuda vahanam ‘he said adding the frequency of APSRTC buses will be increased and a conductor will be positioned in the buses for devotees convenience.

Speaking on the occasion Tirupati urban SP Sri Gopinath Jatti said that for security of devotees coming for Brahmotsavams- besides additional police force, the units of SPG, Octopus, Greyhound will be deployed all around Tirumala. Efficient traffic management systems will be deployed in coordination with the RTC officials, ‘We aim to provide more effective security than in last Brahmotsavams ‘he added.

Earlier the JEO Sreenivasa Raju visited and inspected the Four mada streets, Akhilandam, Nada Niranjanam locations and gave directions to TTD and vigilance officials to make fool proof arrangements for the holy event.

Besides the CV&SO Sri G Nagendra Kumar, Addl CV&SO Sri Siva Kumar Reddy, Suptd Engineer Sri Ramachandra Reddy and all other senior officials of TTD participated in the media briefing and the inspections of JEO.
