TAKE FORWARD THE EQUALITY MOVEMENT FORWARD-TIRUPATI JEO

Tirupati, 14 April 2016: Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar has envisaged modern India using various methods and strategies to create a society based on the values of liberty, equality, fraternity and achieved in his goal, said TTD Trust Board Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy.

In his address during the 125th Birth Anniversary of Dr BR Ambedkar held in the quadrangle of TTD administrative building in Tirupati on Thursday he said, the equality movement led by the great architect of Modern India, gave the downtrodden the self-respect, dignity and most importantly moral courage to fight any societal odds.

Later in his speech, Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar said, Ambedkar fought for the transfer of power to the untouchables. “He not only preached but practiced what he said and it made him the Bharat Ratna. He led the movement standing in the forefront to achieve social, economic, political and religious efforts for upliftment of the lowest stratum of the Indian society. His efforts will become meaningful only when we take forward his legacy by practicing social equality”, JEO strongly felt.

Earlier eminent and senior journalist Sri Ramachandra Reddy, Prof K Koteswara Rao, Head of the Department of Telugu in KRR Arts and Science College, Kodada, Prof Bhangya Bukya, HoD of History, Central University in their speeches advocated Dr BR Ambedkar as the Messaiah of Modern India. “He was a great scholar who made outstanding contributions as an economist, sociologist, legal luminary, educationist, journalist, and parliamentarian and above all, as a social reformer and champion of human rights. We can see his vastness of his vision in the ‘preamble’ to the Constitution of India. It may be considered as the soul of Constitution”, they maintained.

Liaison officer Sri Venkataiah, Sri Harindranath, former Liaison officer Sri Manoharam, DyEOs Sri C Ramana, Sri Krishna Reddy, Sri Subramanyam, Sri Vijayasaradhi, Smt Varalakshmi, Smt Jhansi, Ayurvedic College Principal Dr Parvathi, GM Transport Sri Sesha Reddy, PRO Dr T Ravi and other officials were also present.
