ANCIENT TEMPLES OF NAIDUPETA MERGE IN TTD

Tirupati, 15 March 2017: Two ancient temples situated in Naidupeta of Sri Potti Sriramulu Nellore district merged into Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) on Wednesday.

Sridevi Bhudevi Sametha Sri Kariyamanikya Swamy temple and Ganga Kamakshi Sametha Sri Neelakantheswara Swamy temple located in Tummuru village were taken over by TTD. The Deputy Commissioner of Endowments Department Sri Raghavendra Reddy handed over the papers to TTD Chairman Dr Ch Krishnamurthy on this occasion.

Earlier TTDboard chief was accorded warm reception with purnakumbha swagatham by temple priests. Speaking on this occasion the TTD board chief said, one of the prime mottos of TTD is to preserve our age old temples and today we have taken two more under our umbrella”, he added. He also said, on the wish of the villagers, Srinivasa Kalyanams will also be observed in the village of Tummuru soon.

Local temples Dyeo Smt Varalakshmi, AEO Sri Prasada Murthy Raju were also present.
