ANKURARPANAM TO SRI PAT BTUs ON NOV 25

Tirupati, 23 November 2016: As a prelude to the Navahnika Brahmotsavams of Goddess Padmavathi Devi of Tiruchanoor, the Ankurarpanam ceremony will performed on November 25.

As a part of the Ankurarpanam fest, the ritual will be commenced with Sankalpa by the chief performer of ritual. Later the Navadhanyas will be placed in nine different mud pots known as “Palikas” Invoking the blessings of Vishwaksena-the commander in chief of Lord for the successful conduct of the ritual. This was later followed by Kankanadharanam, (holy wrist-band made of threads).

Then the temple priests will perform Mruthsangrahanam (collecting soil), place in the Poornakumbham, chant the Vedic hymns and perform Ankurarpanam as per the norms of Pancharatra Agama.
