ANNAMACHARYA FETE ENTERS SECOND DAY
Tirupati,12 May 2017:As a part of the week long special programmes in connection with saint poet Tallapaka Annamacharya 609th Birth Anniversary, literary and devotional musical programmes have been organised in Mahati and Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati on Friday.
Earlier in the morning in Annamacharya Kalamandiram Dr Samudrala Lakshmanaiah, renowned scholar and Puranetihasa Project special officer said, Annamaiah taught the world that in Kaliyuga Namasankeertana is the best way to get salvation and penned over 32000 keertans in praise of Lord Venkateswara which are popular even today even after six centuries.
Another scholar Sri Jayaprakash said the impact of 12 Alwars was great on Annamaiah Sankeertans.
Later in the evening renowned classical singer Dr G Balakrishna Prasad rendered Annamaiah Sankeertans in Annamacharya Kalamandiram while Smt Y Ramapraha rendered sankeertans in Mahati Auditorium in a melodious way and enthralled audience.
