ANNAMAIAH RENDERED SANKEERTANS FOR SPIRITUALEQUALITY_SAMUDRALA

Tirupati, 5 April 2016: Renowned scholarship and editor in chief of TTD Dr Samudrala lakshmanaiah said the socio_politico_economic conditions which existed in 15th and 16th centuries has forced Annamaiah to pen sankeertans to gather spiritual equality among masses.

Addressing the meeting organised in connection with Annamaiah Vardhanti in Annamacharya kalamandiram at Tirupati on Tuesday he said, through his SANKEERTANS, the saint poet enhanced spiritual consciousness among masses.
Later Rajagopala Chakravarthy delivered speech on Annamaiah-Venkateswara Vaibhav. This was followed by the speeches of Sri Sriramulu and Sri Sheikh Vali who narrated the similarities in the life and writings between Annamaiah and Surdas.
