“ANNAMAIAH SANKEERTANS ARE ESSENCE OF BHAGAVATA”-SPEAKERS

TIRUPATI, MAY 6: The sankeertans penned by Saint Poet Sri Tallapaka Annamacharya are nothing but the essence of Bhagavatam, said the scholars who delivered lectures on various topics related to the great devotee of Lord Venkateswara.

In connection with 607th Jayanthi Celebrations of Annamacharya, Ttd has arranged special programmes in Annamacharya Kalamandiram in Tirupati on Monday. Dr. Raghavan who presided over the session, delivered lecture on “Annamaiah-Bhagavatham” and said Annamacharya through his innumerable number of keertans explained the great bond and relationship between a devotee and a deity. Later Dr M Sampath kumar of Chennai spoke on “Annamaiah-Dasavatara Varnana”, while Sri Mudivedu Prabhakar delivered lecture on “Annamaiah Sankeertans- Madhura Bhakti”.

Earlier cultural programmes took place including Sapthagiri Sankeertana Goshthi both at Mahati and Annamacharya Kalamandiram.
