ANNUAL BRAHMOTSAVAM IN SRI GOVINDARAJA SWAMY BEGINS

Tirupati, 4 June 2014: The nine-day annual brahmotsavams in the famous temple of Sri Govinda Raja Swamy temple off to a grand start on Wednesday with Dhwajarohana Mahotsavam which took place in Karkata Lagnam between 9am to 10am.

The archakas hoisted the flag bearing the image of Lord Garuda atop the temple pillar “Dhwajastambham”  chanting the vedic hymns.

Meanwhile the vehicle processions will commence in the evening of Wednesday with the processional deity of Lord Sri Govinda Raja SWamy taking celestial ride on seven hooded mighty Pedda Seshavahanam between 7.30pm to 9.30pm.

H.H.Sri Sri Pedda Jeeyar Swamy of Tirumala Mutt, H.H.Sri Sri Chinna Jeeyar SwamyDeputy EO Sri Chandrasekhar Pillai, Garden Deputy Director Sri Srinivasulu, AEO Sri Prasadamurthy Raju and others were present in this religious fete.
