ANNUAL FLOAT FESTIVAL OFF TO A COLOURFUL START IN TIRUCHANOOR

Tiruchanur, 16 JUNE 2016: The annual five-day teppotsavams in the famous temple of Goddess Padmavathi at Tiruchanoor off to a colourful start on Thursday evening. This festival will conclude on June 20.

These Utsavams are usually observed in Tiruchanoor temple from Jyestha Suddha Ekadasi till Pournami for five days every year.

On the first day Lord Sri Krishnaswamy took pleasure ride on finely decorated Teppa-float in the Padma Sarovaram along with Rukmini and Satyabhama.

The Teppotsavams will takes place every day between 6:30pm to 7:30pm. On first day after teppotsavams the Goddess was taken on a celestial ride on Aswa Vahanam between 8:30pm and 10:30pm.

TTD has cancelled Kalyanotsavam, unjal Seva and Lakshmi Puja in connection with this festival.
