APPALAYAGUNTA TO BE DEVELOPED ON THE LINES OF TIRUMALA-TTD CHAIRMAN

Appalayagunta, 13 June 2016: The famous shrine of Lord Sri Prasanna Venkateswara swamy at Appalayagunta near Tirupati will be developed on the lines of Tirumala temple, said TTD Trust Board Chief Dr Ch Krishnamurty.

The chairman who visited the temple to see the ongoing arrangements for the annual brahmotsavams, later addressing media persons in the temple premises on Monday evening, said the temple has gained popularity after Tiruchanoor and srinivasa mangapuram among the sub temples of TTD in Tirupati. “To develop this temple, the temple management has sanctioned over Rs.10crores which includes the construction of vaikuntha prakaram, POTU, yagashala, mahadwaram and kalyana mandapam. Apart from this a four lane road from Pudi to the temple at a cost of Rs.2.70crores is also in the offing”, he added.

Later he invited the pilgrim devotees to take part in large numbers for the annual brahmotsavams of the temple which is scheduled from June 15-23. The prominent days include kalyanam on June 18, Garuda Seva on June 19, Rathaseva on June 22. I wish the pilgrims to take part in all these religious events and get the divine blessings”, he added.

Temple DyEO Sri Chinnamgari Ramana, AEO Sri Radhakrishna, Exe Engineer Sri Venugopal, DyEE Sri Umashankar and others were present.
