ARRANGEMENTS FOR AMMAVRU BTUs SHOULD BE VISUALLY RICH-JEO
TIRUCHANOOR, OCT. 27: As the annual kartheeka brahmotsavams of Goddess Sri Padmavathi Devi of Tiruchanoor is scheduled to take place from November 26 to December 4, Tirupati JEO Sri P Bhaskar instructed the officials to make the arrangements visually rich for the mega religious fete.
The Tirupati Deputy to EO, has reviewed with various department heads of TTD on the arrangements to be made for this annual event.
In his review meeting at Tiruchanoor Asthana Mandapam on Thursday evening, the JEO said that heavy pilgrim rush is being anticipated this year for this event which is considered to be next big to Tirumala brahmotsavams and there is need to keep enough quantity of buffer stock of laddu and other prasadams”, he added.
WIDE PUBLICITY
JEO directed the officials concerned to give wide publicity to the festival in the surrounding villages and hamlets with the help of publicity materials like posters, pamphlets and booklets.
VASTRA BAHUMANAM COUNTER
“This year Vastra Vahumanam counter will be opened to receive pure Patti saree donations from devotees. This counter operates every day between 3pm and 4pm. Only 9″ or above pure jari boder Sari will be received for which two persons of donors will be allowed through special entrance for darshan”, he added.
ALL ROUND ARRANGEMENTS
He instructed the officials to see that the pilgrims are not put to inconvenience especially during the important festive days of Gaja Vahanam which falls on November 30, Bangaru Ratham and Garuda Vahanam on December 1, Rathotsavam on December 3, and Panchami Teertham on December 4.
VISUALLY RICH THEMES
JEO instructed the electrical department to erect new mythological themes to decorate the temple town in a vivid manner and asked the Garden Department officials to prepare innovative floral structures for the event.
MOBILE TOILETS
To cater to the needs of pilgrims he instructed the health wing to place mobile toilets with proper drain outlets.
The JEO also reviewed on security, drinking water, annaprasadam, cultural and transportation activities.
WOMEN CENTRIC RELIGIOUS FETE
As Goddess Padmavathi Devi, the beloved consort of Lord Venkateswara is the symbolic representation of power of women, the women devotees have big role to play during the brahmotsavams said TTD All Projects Special Officer Sri N Muktheswara Rao.
During review meeting kartheeka brahmotsavams at Tiruchanoor held at Asthanamandapam here on Thursday evening by Tirupati Jeo Sri P Bhaskar, briefing on cultural programmes the special officer said the special attraction during brahmotsavams includes performances with women artistes.
All Projects Special Officer Sri N Muktheswara Rao, Temple special grade DyEO Sri Muni Ratnam Reddy, Additional CVSO Sri Siva Kumar Reddy, Tirumala temple DyEO Sri Kodanda Rama Rao and other heads were also present.
