AYUDHA PUJA PERFORMED IN ANNAPRASADAM COMPLEX

Tirumala. 27 November 2015: Tirumala Jeo Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju took part in the Ayudha Performed in Matrusri Tarigonda Vengamamba Annaprasadam Complex (MTVAC) in Tirumala on Friday.

After performing puja to the Annaprasadam preparing giant machines, speaking to media persons, the jeo said, among the important wings in TTD, the Annaprasadam wing holds the credit of serving the pilgrims by offering free and delicious food. “The Annaprasadam distribution began with 2000 pilgrims about 30 years ago in Tirumala and today the food is being served to about 1.14 Lakh pilgrims on normal days and over 1.45 Lakh pilgrims during festive days not only in MTVAC but also in VQC compartments, queue lines and in footpath routes. He said this year so far around 65cr has been received in the form of donations by the trust. Ttd has been spending not less than 70cr every year to serve Annaprasadams to pilgrims. He later lauded the extraordinary services of the department officials and staff to the multitude of visiting pilgrims and felicitated them.

Annaprasadam Dyeo Sri Venugopal, Catering officer Sri Sastry, SEII Sri Ramachandra Reddy, Health Officer Dr Sermishta, staffs, Srivari sevakulu were also present. Later prasadams were distributed on the occasion.
