“BETTER AMENITIES TO PILGRIMS THROUGH MODERN RESEARCH METHODOLOGY”-TTD EO

TIRUPATI, DEC 3: The temple administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams(TTDs) has been working out continuously with a special attention to provide better darshan and accommodation facilities to the multitude of visiting pilgrims by adopting modern research methodology, said TTD EO Sri MG Gopal.

Addressing the international conference on Operational Research organised by Operational Research Society of India(ORSI) at Senate Hall in SV University, in Tirupati on Wednesday, the EO presented a power point presentation on “Operational Research in Temple Management” and briefed on the amenities introduced by TTD to the pilgrims which has given tremendous results especially in providing hassle free darshan to pilgirms.

Later speaking to media persons, the EO said, TTD will constitute an Experts’ Committee to analyse the pilgrim data during normal, rush and peak days and work out further for the betterment of amenities to the pilgrims. The EO also said, the recently introduced three-stepped darshan line has given a lot of convenience to the pilgrims to have a hassle free darshan without any push and pull. “Now we are planning to provide spiritual ambiance in the waiting halls of Vaikuntham 1 and 2 by playing Annamacharya Keertans etc. for the sake of the pilgrims”, the EO maintained.

ORSI expert Prof.Jayashankar said that now they are working out on the possibilities to reduce stress in the areas of Kalyanakatta, laddu counters, reception area etc. to offer speedy services to the pilgrims.

SVU VC Sri W Rajendra, Statistics Expert Sri M Rammohan Rao, Sri Rajasekhar Reddy, California University Professor Sri Rajasekhar Reddy, Andhra Universtiy Professor Sri K Srinivasa Rao, Tirumala temple Deputy EO Sri C Ramana, Transport GM Sri Sesha Reddy, EDP Manager Sri Bhaskar and others were also present.
